I will be at the game on Friday, with my daughter, excited to see Kenny Pickett's first start and looking forward to next season.

But if Ben DiNoodle-arm (who should be playing at Slippery Rock or W&J) is the starter.... we're getting up and leaving. That's two more empty yellow seats on TV if DiNucci starts.

Call me a bad fan all you want... I've been a season ticket holder for 31 years. Pickett gives us optimism for next season. DiNucci in the game is disheartening, disappointing, and sucks all the optimism out of the fan base.

If Narduzzi is that stubborn that he starts DiNucci on Friday... then he is killing the only buzz his team has right now and the only reason people might be looking forward to renewing season tickets.

For the love of God, Narduzzi.... you made a mistake in not playing Pickett the past 4 games after burning the redshirt. Do *NOT* compound that mistake by sucking the little optimism we fans have left by not starting him Friday.

If next year is not a big improvement, and the administration doesnt start to really care , 6 of us our done after 30 years. Just can't see doing this much longer , especially invested as we have been.

Don't be so quick to leave, I think he may start DiNuzzi but Pickett gets most of the snaps and plays most of the game.

DiNucci should never take a meaningful snap in a Pitt uniform again.

He is a D2/3 player. He should transfer to W&J.

I hope you’re wrong, there is absolutely no reason for DiNucci to play. If he does it’s really time to call his decision making into question.

Maybe he goes to UConn. Guy reminds me a lot of Bryant Shirreffs, who they kept throwing out there for years for as maybe the worst QB in D1.

Seriously, Pickett is quicker, more elusive, way better arm, makes faster decisions and is more accurate. There is literally nothing DiNucci does as good as Pickett, let alone better. I fail to see any reasoning that he should ever get anything other than emergency or mop up duty at this level.

30 years, lol, try 70 years with only about a total of a dozen years of satisfaction. Other than those 12 years or so there was the upset of Leahy ND team about 1952, Bill Kallidan beating ND in the late 1950's and a few other upsets along the way, other than that not a lot to cheer for. I be there just consider it a bad habit.

Unbelievable you have been a Pitt fan since the 40’s. Guys like me that are 50 have seen nothing compared to you. Hell, most of us missed the Dave Hart years.

Congratulations to you sir, I’m sure your family were Pitt fans as well and probably regaled you with tales of the glory days in the 30’s. I hope we right the ship and have some big years in the near future.

I will bet both are going to play. I wont get bent out of shape at this point - it's the final game of a really bad year. If Duzz is looking to creat competition for the off season then he should play both simply to send a message to KP that he still needs to grow, work really hard, and be accountable. Not to mention, the guy can run and therefore will likely be dinged up at some points. It would be nice to see Nuch stay with the team an to be a dependable backup next year. Let Patti redshirt and start his redshirt junior year. When was the last time we had a dependable backup.

Here is my contribution to Friday's attendance

I am going to watch jester weah run out of the tunnel for the last time with an ear to ear grin on my face.

And then I am going to leave.

Good point. In that case though Pickett should start, even though then idk if it's a good idea to yank him for no reason. I thought starting DiNucci yesterday at Tech but then letting Pickett play most of the game was 100% the right way to go about it. Pickett proved wis worth though, he earned the opportunity to start to Friday.

I don't disagree with your starter logic. Best case again would be for Nuch to start and then Pickett gets the second quarter and possibly the rest of the game

I remember criticizing dinucci earlier in the year by saying when I saw him live in the Pinstripe Bowl last year his arm strength looked incredibly weak and someone responded by telling me about the yardage he threw for in high school. He still has that high school arm and CANNOT be the starter Friday

I've posted in a couple other threads that Pickett likely needed a little time to get to this point. Hard just to roll him out there when the original plan was to be third string.

But All bets are off now. It's time to not look back
