Question: Who is your Coach of the year?

For me, I’ll wait to see where the dust settles. Paul Chryst has to be up there as well if they finish 12-0.

I agree let’s wait.

Chryst has done well but that schedule was cake.

Richt is a great candidate.

Coaches that had some adversity.

Smarts qb went down Malzahn was almost fired to maybe in the playoffs?

Dabo?

Right now I’d say Richt.

He won’t win it but Jeff Monken at Army has done an unbelievable job. If they were to finish with 11 wins (including bowl) he should get some consideration.

Lots of good options. Jeff Monken, Mark Richt, Nick Saban, Paul Chryst, Scott Frost, Jason Kandle. Gus Malzahn if they win the Iron Bowl.

Bill Clark at UAB. Not sure how anyone is even in the running.
Definitely a solid candidate. There's some good choices out there though this year... mark richt, Kirby smart, Paul chryst, Gus malzahn, Lincoln Riley certainly has to be talked about, maybe even mark dantonio with the turnaround from 2016 to 2017, Scott frost is undefeated at UCF this season. I would love to see bill Clark win it but my guess would be someone from a P5 school.

There are several good candidates for COY already listed. I'll add Charlie Strong. The job he's doing with USF (especially now that they are no longer in a Power Conference) deserves some kudos, if not COY.

I’ll disagree, in my opinion Taggert left him with a stacked deck.

He's done a good job with it though. He was in a tough spot at Texas. He did do one thing there though. He cleaned out all the thugs and bad actors. It's tough to go into a rogue program, clean it up, and then win right away.

How? He's had one of the easiest, if not the easiest, schedule in college football. Multiple places rank UAB's schedule at 129/130 or 130/130 and he still lost 3 games. The team's he's beaten are a combined 22-37 and total teams played are 32-58. Not a single one of those teams has a SoS in the top 95 in college football.

If you'd have asked me last week, I'd have said Brian Kelly hands down. After the Miami beatdown I'd have to go with Nick Saban sadly. His team is just in another league and has destroyed almost everyone this year. I know everyone wants to pick an underdog, but I just can't find it in me to choose a coach that would look at a Jamie Dixon OOC schedule and think, "Boy that looks tough."

Campbell at Iowa State has done an insanely good job.

Richt probably has Miami two years ahead of schedule this year.

Scott Frost has turned UCF into the G5 power.

Lane Kiffin at FAU. The S&P+ has them as a Top 25 team. Which they probably aren't, but that just shows how good a job he's done in a few months.

Jason Candle at Toldeo has killed it this year. Led Miami at the half. Only other loss is to Ohio. Probably about to take them to the MAC Championship, something even Campbell couldn't do.
