Trey and X had 12 of the team's 13 assists the other went to TB. Pitt scored 22 baskets and I would say all of the buckets not assisted by a pass were drives by Trey or put backs. This means, no surprise, nobody tonight successfully created their own shot and X tried, a lot.
X was 1 of 9 and could not get a contested layup to fall ( the rest of the team was 21 of 41-- this is how Pitt should shoot against an over matched team). I still think that Toney is going to come around, he only took one bad shot tonight, that being said tonight I would have played Hamilton at the 4 for a period of time and had the team pound the ball inside and that would have put Toney on the bench and it would also clog the lanes so X and Trey would drive t o the hoop less.
