That is a big blow so close to the start of the season for Georgia Tech. He was their leading rusher as a true freshman last season.

Good for us, especially since the lineup will be rusty with possibly two straight losses and some starters playing their first game of the year.
GT is an up and comer and has potential but they're not in PITT's league yet!
2 dismissals and 3 suspensions are league leading stats!

Out of those 7 only 2 played the year before. At Pitt we lost 5 or 6 possible starters. Not even close to a comparison
GT and Pitt simply need to attract pious and scholarly recruits like those that stalwart morality havens like Miami or UNC or Ohio State, where they have giant halos.
And such programs won't suspend guys if they aren't confident in the guys behind them (who are typically 4 or 5 star guys themselves).
If Gallagher would let the Duz loose with the adequate "resources" to recruit like a fiend to pad the depth chart, he can keep his buttocks clenched as tight as he wants regarding discipline. Suspend Whiteheads all you want, if there is something better than Briggs behind him. Otherwise, take a hint from a familiar school that our administration likes to keep begging for games: Hosing down the stadium steps as punishment is far better discipline than suspension.
