We have a mask mandate in Illinois and we just had 8,000 cases today. we are the worst. the only good news is that the death rate is plummeting like a rock. new cases have a death rate of around 1%. for young people, it is close to 0%.
I don;t get the surge. over 90% of americans are now wearing masks. everybody I know is at least being careful. A lot of it could be colleges, but close to none of those kids really gets sick, so far.
Wasn't commenting on masks at all so I wasn’t suggesting it was that simple. Masks only do so much and are part of mitigation. Especially since most of us are only wearing cloth masks.

Every ACC team earns the same payout, which is why schools rely on ticket sales, donations, and in-game advertising as the differentiating factors. Pitt is already dreadful in donations, and this pandemic is probably going to disproportionately affect us because our fans are cheap.

Again, COVID going crazy. Even the Republican governor in Ohio is threatening to close bars and restaurants. The college basketball season appears to be in jeopardy before it even starts as state shutdowns could be coming soon. Should have listened to me and started the seasom Feb 1 after tens of millions of senior citizens get their vaccine.
