My daughter flew from Charlotte to Orlando two weeks ago, right when all this stuff was picking up. She’s staying with my parents in Florida so I don’t want her infecting them. We told her to take wipes and sanitizer and Lysol and clean her seating area before she sat down. She took pictures of her seat when she boarded and it was disgusting. Needless to say, the airline didn’t clean shit.
I flew regularly for about 16 years . Most of those planes were like flying in a port-a-jon . I don't think it was as much as people were pigs , most people are usually cleaned up/dressed well for a flight . It's just they have no employees that board in between flights to clean the damn things . Ever .
By all means, wear the N95. However, a cloth mask will do a great job at catching spit from talking or coughing. Evidence shows masks help.
Since I don't fly as much, I haven't gotten as many respiratory illnesses, which were never limited to just winter, but even spring and summer. So again, not missing it.
Your statistics are meaningless. Those other deaths are not comparable. They are not transmittable.

You are wrong. If these types of masks did nothing, why do medical professionals wear them? And no, it won’t stop an airborne virus, but cotton masks will absolutely stop droplets.First off . Let's clear the air (so to speak) regarding "respirators" .

The paper masks that the president , the cdc , or the so called professionals that are calling these respirators are either idiots or totally misinformed . The paper masks they refer to are nothing more than a dust mask . They capture larger particulates . And really don't do that very effectively.
Not something as microscopic as an airborne virus like corona .
Trust me . Early in my career I used a respirator often to combat asbestos containing materials . We were taught that paper masks are basically useless for smaller particulates .
Simply . These masks will probably help no one . Coming in touch or preventing the spread .
There probably more effective for wiping your arse when you run out of t.p.
I believe the N95 'paper' masks stop the virus sized particles. Of course they are not paper but a specific manufactured material.
Even the N95 mask isn't failsafe. The virus can still enter through other exposed areas like the eyes.
If you seal it properly, you will not live long enough to make another informative post.....I just thought I procured some N95 respirators. And as soon as I went to check out on Amazon, they blocked me. Stating these are now being reserved for health and medical professionals. Which makes sense for me.
