The crowd was OK but not spectacular.....maybe because it was a weekday afternoon.

What surprise me, because it was a sellout, was how many empty seats there were. I know that, for instance, many Pitt fans moved down and filled the Creighton fan seats after they left, and Pitt students sat where the Louisville band was for the first game, but the general admission seats looked like they weren't even half full.

In fact I just looked at the photo I took at the beginning of the match and they weren't even close to half full.

We completely dominates the match - just impressive in every phase.

IMO, that’s what makes this team different from the previous teams to make a run in the tournament. There isn’t really a glaring weakness. And the depth is impressive. Their specialists seem to get the job done 99% of the time and Dan Fisher knows exactly the right time to use each player.

Fun to watch and easily the best/most exciting team at the university.

pretty lame the louisville game is not at the pete. I know why but still....

This team showed up ready to play. Just an all around solid team effort and I think Fisher rotated Monks and Nwokolo to perfection. The broadcast showed the Louisville team watching a couple times. You could tell by the looks on their faces that they know their in for a battle on Saturday. H2P!

Pitt certainly could have/should have sold more tickets for yesterday’s match.
For instance, the Louisville and Pitt bands could have been issued the same seats .
Also, you could figure that the losing fans from
the first game would leave.
They could have made a lot more people happy by selling more GA tickets.
It was certainly not like the Pitt/Oklahoma basketball game in 1989.
I know. Fire regulations.

I find it interesting at these games that they have a table set up on both ends of the court that the coaches from the second match can watch the first match from, and then coaches from the winning team in the first match can watch the second match from.

Not saying there's anything wrong with it, just that they don't really do that at other sports. Certainly basketball doesn't do it.

Yeh....but did you see Dani Busboom Kelly (aka I want to coach Nebraska someday)....she barely smiled once as Pitt was dismantling WSU.

There was one point in the match where Rachel Fairbanks made an unbelievable play, stretching out her right arm to deflect the ball up and keep it in. It happened kind of in front of Anna DeBeer, who just shook her head in amazement.
