I can appreciate your insight, but this is a big jump. I think it takes more than one legit 5, at least for now.

Pitt is never getting a player LSU truly wants. Same can be said regarding Louisville and NCST ( and many others).

And lets say Champagnie comes back. You'd have NBA dudes at the 4 and 5, a very good 1 in Femi and decent wings. That's enough for a good coach.

He can realize it to the nth degree. Ultimately, he is constrained by being at the current version of Pitt.

Evans players were recruited in the era of The Golden Panthers . The Willard yrs until the last 5 yrs was the worst bb Pitts played in the last 40 yrs .

This whole discussion makes me laugh “of course he choose Louisville , Pitts not beating out LSU for this recruit “ so exactly how is JC supposed to convince any of these kids to come to Pitt even when the so called supporters of the program feel so negative . Until the administration decides to allow booster support and embraces a true desire to excel at both Fb and bb Pitt will never be much better than a middle of the pack program and no coach who can change either one of those programs will ever want the job .
