It looks as if it a fast progressing cancer; it was announced in January that he was fighting cancer.

I remember that game. The score was 15-9. One of those scores from childhood that is etched in memory. RIP Benny.

Cunningham was unstoppable when healthy, early in his career. He was just too injury prone. He could get hurt chewing gum on the sidelines. Late in his career he got a case of the dropsies that defied belief.

I think it was a flea flicker now that you mention it. He did get injured which I always thought was the result of him running as if he was standing straight up. Made himself an easy target.
