OK we joined before the 2014 season I believe. Since then, number of ACC teams who danced by year:

So yes it would be pretty unusual for the 4th place team to miss generally. It happened to us once, not sure how many times it's happened, but your "usually" (an adverb saying greater than 50%) is almost definitely wrong. The conference is larger now, so I expect something more like 6 to 7 teams in this year.

He might end up eventually being the real deal but it probably won't be at Pitt.

I dont need to see what Cummings, Delalic, Kante, or anyone else does. I know what I have at point guard and I know what I have at center. And I know this team with Lowe and with Corhen is better than 8th place. So lets make it a little personal here with a little fun...

By the way, the Athletic had a column today on the current state of the ACC, and they included a list of each team's top 100 recruits and transfers. They had us sixth, and if you can't figure out why outsiders aren't predicting us to be higher than that:

Top 100 freshmen added: None

Top 100 transfers added: None

Wait I thought Capel was such an amazing recruiter!! I think we all thought Lowe would be some superstar point guard this season and Cam would be significantly better than Fede. Because of that the fans discounted the fact that Pitt didn't land a top 100 freshman or transfer.

And well, looks like we really could have used 1 or 2 because we stink.

Oh relax just having some fun with you. I thought this could be an Elite 8 team after they beat Ohio State and drank the koolaid like everyone else. After the Miss State game and VT game I realized the team stinks and Capel needs to go.
