Rowan and Diallo

Looks like Rowan might be reclassify to 2015. And most likely heading to U of L...
Diallo per his interview during the MacDonald's game (waiting who is leaving for NBA then he will commit) that alone speaks of itself... of course either he will go to UK or Kansas.

So, let's not all count on these two high recruits. There is no way that we will get them. Not that being negative
but talking more realistic and hope Dixon will put more his effort to those other target that stays 4 years and fits well
in the system. The one and done player often hurts Pitt's program anyway.

BUT I hope I am wrong with my prediction for Rowan and Diallo.

Diallo may be but surely you're not suggesting Rowan is one and done right?

I listened to that interview twice. It was very hard to understand but if he said he was waiting to see who was going pro that was something I didn't hear. I did hear him say something about his next two visits.

I might suggest that he may have been saying he could also be waiting to see what Coaches go to the pros.

Both are very doubtful. I hope we put the full press on Thorne and lock him up on his visit. A guard would be on my wish list as well.

Problem...we have one to give + Joe = 2.

If we sign Thorne and a guard, we might not have room for Diallo unless we boot someone. If we tell Thorne he's plan 'B', Diallo 'A', he might just eliminate us. Tricky stuff, but I don't think Jamie should have 3 bigs in one class...one year Mike, 2 years Rozelle, 1-2 for Cheick. That'd put us in a new big search right away.

I'm sure Jamie knows his preference order, but the recruits need to make the decision. A true domino effect, here. I'd take the kid from Michigan as a long-term option, too. I'm getting a headache.

We're not getting Thorne and Diallo. Those 2 are not going to agree to split time at the 5......at Pitt. Whoever we are so lucky to get to say "yes" first is who will be our starting center next year. Both are Plan A at this point. Both, I'm sure are being told, "you're our starting center if you commit right now." However, its extremely likely that we get neither.

There is absolutely no way JD passes on Cheick if he wants to commit to Pitt no matter who else commits.

do we walk away from Thorne?? It's not nearly as clear as you seem to think. I see NO situation where we bring in 3 short-term bigs.....it's wasting scholies. Jamie's too smart to do that.

The odds of getting Diallo are slim. You absolutely take Thorne, as a matter of fact try to get him to commit on the visit.

And I might suggest that we NEVER turn down a 1 and done type talent just because he might be 1 and done. EVER.

The one we had was a problem because it was an 11th hour decision that we still may not have recovered from. If you know a guy is likely 1 and done you can recruit accordingly.

I would take Thorne in a heartbeat......we could deal with getting Diallo later if that ever becomes a possibility. I would not pass on a guy like Thorne.

That would eliminate any chance for Diallo. Maybe a moot point.

I'd be happy with either of them. Thorne's ready to go, Diallo may take a while, but has higher upside. Either way, we need a big in 2016. Maybe K-A Towns will transfer here & sit out for a year??
