For a state so poor it is amazing they pay their coach this much. He could buy a fishing boat for every state resident!

.you could actually argue that Saban is under paid..

As Saban's victory total has swelled, so have the university's finances.

Alabama's athletic department brought in $67.7 million in revenue and had a $7.1 million surplus the year before his arrival, according to figures compiled by USA Today. Last fiscal year, Alabama's athletic revenue was $124.5 million and its profit was $19.4 million.

Football alone produced $82 million in revenue and had a profit of $45.1 million.

The only college football programs with greater revenue than Alabama during the last fiscal year were Texas ($103.8 million) and Michigan ($85.2 million).

It's clear you never been to Alabama. If you think the living is Pennsylvania is better then you haven't been.

I've been to Birmingham more than I'd like. Wouldn't move there.

I like living in cities. Don't think Alabama would do it for me.

i would move to Orange Beach / Gulf Shores in a heart beat.

Fairhope, Alabama is one of the most beautiful small towns in the entire nation.....

Agree with the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area.

We have been looking into an eventual retirement home and that area is definitely on my radar. It's a little pricey there right on the beach, nearby Foley AL is a possibility.

I've already resigned myself that Newport Beach isn't happening, Mt Pleasant SC is a beautiful area but a little expensive as well. Going to look into the Alabama coast again for sure, very nice place.

A first. Never seen anyone open to moving to Alabama. But, sounds "swell" (I suppose)....
About as open to it as most people from the South would be open to moving to PA. Probably more for AL, if you consider the coast.
