SMF not happy
lol, Xavier takes him off the scrap heap, rehabs him and he shows his thanks by taking the first P4 job that waves more money at him. All class that Miller family.
If Pitt weren’t run by idiots he’d be Pitt’s HC.lol, Xavier takes him off the scrap heap, rehabs him and he shows his thanks by taking the first P4 job that waves more money at him. All class that Miller family.
So you’re a puritan. You and Nerdy deserve each other. The best programs in the country hired him but Pitt’s too good for him… stupid!Yep, total douche. I'd sincerely rather lose with Capel. He's the one dude I would say that about.

Yeah, but for how long?If Pitt weren’t run by idiots he’d be Pitt’s HC.
Might have been interesting to find that out.Yeah, but for how long?
Probably until Pitt cut him off at the knees like they have done with every coach they have had with a pulse.Yeah, but for how long?
How much money does Texas have to spend on athletics versus what Pitt has? That is the definition of “serious.”Rodney Terry EE and two other tournament appearances in 3 years gets fired. Capel still here. Pitt is not serious about athletics
Yeah you’re right he should’ve said no thanks to one of the premium jobs in all of college basketball.lol, Xavier takes him off the scrap heap, rehabs him and he shows his thanks by taking the first P4 job that waves more money at him. All class that Miller family.

He’ll kill it there with the resources they have.
Oh-did he do poorly at Zona? I thought a .735 win percentage and a few elite 8s there was doing pretty good.he didn't have resources in Arizona?

They’d have built him a friggin’ statue and named an arena after him if he’d done that at Pitt.

The eggheads always were in charge of athletics at Pitt and that’s OK.Probably until Pitt cut him off at the knees like they have done with every coach they have had with a pulse.
Better than scoring 45 or so points against Wisconsin in perhaps the ugliest ncaa game ever played…..Jamie ball.Well, when you're ranked #1 in the season, have 30+ wins, but then lose 2 years in a row to Wisconsin to not make the final 4, I wouldn't say for that program it would be considered pretty good.
yea…the arrogance of Pitt’s administrators who have made decisions that are clearly detrimental to athletics has happened over and over…. also too many BOT members who have no real connection to Pitt. Crappy schools like Colorado St. New Mexico and Drake do a better job managing their hoops programs. Whoever blackballed Miller should have to walk the plank….self- righteous idiots. After the kind of season Pitt BB had heads should have rolled within days…2 weeks later and Pitt is still sitting g on their hands. Actions speak louder than words and Pitt’s actions say they are happy to just field a team, and if that’s their ambition, let them pay for NILThe eggheads always were in charge of athletics at Pitt and that’s OK.
What isn’t OK is that the eggheads seem to have never taken any input from the athletic department when it came to athletics department policy.
Not as bad of a take as the longstanding narrative on this board, driven entirely by poorly-defined dislike of the man, that he's not an excellent head coach. That’s a bad take
Seems Arizona is doing fine without him
So will Xavier

First, I’m not sure that Wisconsin was as low a seed as you assert when they beat Arizona. I can’t diasagree with the point that IF Wisconsin were as low a seed as you suggest, that losing to them in the elite 8 round would be a worse loss than Jamie’s loss to Wisconsin. My general point on the Dixon loss was that Dixon’s loss to Wisconsin was one of the worst ever offensive performances in the history of the tournament. I acknowledge that my post wasn’t very clear and on its face a bit puzzling.Del, how is losing to Wisconsin when you are such a high seed and were ranked #1 at times during the season (and had 30+ wins) better than losing as some non-descript first round game?

To me, he will always be the point guard on the most talented and entertaining Pitt teams to ever take the floor, and the trigger man for the most spectacular dunk in the history of the sport. I've never lived in PA and don't know anything or care at all about what happened between his old man and Pitt, so to me, Miller will always be part of the good old days at Pitt, and a Pitt legend.I think that most people who dislike him do so for pretty well defined reasons.
It has always struck me as odd how many people here care more about Sean Miller than they do about Pitt.

As I said, I don't know the story, and I don't care what it is. I care about how fun it was to watch Pitt basketball and be a Pitt fan then, and how abjectly $hitty is it now. Sean could play, and Sean can coach. Period.See, this is a perfect example of what I am talking about. The issues between Pitt and the old man came AFTER the issues between Sean and Pitt. His old man reacted the way he did to stick up for his son. He wasn't the "instigator" of anything.

I’ve heard well defined dislike from DT, and just dumb blind resentful hate from 97% of the rest of the numbskulls that criticize him on this board. So you admit that you have no idea what the story is, but you still call it "poorly-defined dislike of the man"?
I wonder if you realize that that makes literally no sense what so ever?

Does that make sense to you?
Miller was the PG on my favorite Pitt teams of all time. And he’s been an excellent coach. So yeah, I don’t really give a flying F “what the story is”.
