Will we be getting paper tickets or a link to save on our phones?

Dates these will be sent as well?

As I type this I think how much easier it would be to call 648-PITT or look up on the official site but what the hell....

Got mine today too. Went paper for hoops since they’re easier to break up and give away if necessary vs. football I know I’m going to every game

You should've had the option for either method.

Just got mine today too. Got paper tickets, but directions came with them saying how to access digital tickets too, looks like it is by using the “Pitt Panthers Gameday App”

Didn't get mine yet. Did they come in regular mail?
I would call the ticket office to check on them. I didn't receive mine so I called this morning because I'm going to be away next week. They didn't have me as requesting paper tickets, so I was only going to get them on my phone. I definitely requested actual tickets.

If you got them on your phone (pitt app) you can get paper tickets from the ticket office the day of the first game. They won't be the commemorative style with pics or designs but regular bland tickets. This happened to me last year when I upgraded in mid season and got new seats but like posters above, I don't recall choosing the mobile way but it's nice to have both I guess

We didn't get ours. I guess the default in the ticket office is to choose Mobile Delivery for you, even if you did not request that. My e-mail from May says Mobile Delivery, but, I never authorized that.

I wonder with the Mobile Delivery if they still charge a handling fee, just for someone doing their job. One of the worst scams in all of sports tickets.

I shall call the office in the morning.

I thought the way that it worked was that the "default" was mobile delivery and you had to opt into paper tickets if you wanted them. If that was the case, then technically by not doing anything you did "authorize" that.

I have a feeling that next year we aren't going to get a choice. Like the Stillers this year, all Pitt tickets, football and basketball, are going to be mobile only. The teams/schools love mobile tickets, because every time the ticket gets transferred they get some money. When you resell them you do it on their (preferred) web site, which means they make money from both the buyer and the seller.

And if that causes cluster****s at the gate like the Stillers have had several times this season, ah, what do they care, they aren't the ones missing the game.

I just called them. They failed to process a charge for the Student Success Fund, or whatever it is called. Got that taken care of and tickets will be shipped this week.

You are correct. Next year is mobile device or a $50 upcharge for paper tix

If they are going to do that, that's fine. But they need to make sure that their app works first. This year your Panther Club card is available only through the app. Since they announced that, which was what, three months ago now, I have tried to access the card on the app. And every single time I click on the "tickets" button in the app one of three things happens. The app "thinks" about it for a while and then returns me right back to the home screen, the app gives me an error message that closes the app down, or the app just shuts down completely with no warning.

If they are going to all mobile tickets they have to have stuff like that figured out long before they make the change.

I am not hopeful.
