SeatGeek Has Cheap Tickets for Tonight

In case the price is factoring into your decision. Big game tonight.

Good Lord. $5 on Stubhub. More expensive to get into a WPIAL game tonight. I know it's 9PM but interest in Pitt basketball has barely increased since Stallings. This is my last year buying season tickets regardless of how well this team ends up doing. Its nothing against the team or Capel but I'm not donating to the outdated Panther Club anymore for the right to buy tickets I can get way cheaper on the secondary market. Maybe if they require a player salary donation instead or drastically reduce ticket prices, I'll reconsider.

Does this mean that you'll stop posting on Panther-lair also?

It wasn’t nearly full but the crowd was loud and it was a good atmosphere. The late tipoffs skew younger I think.
They announced 11,200- something which seemed right to me. Not a sell out, sure, but our core showed up. Bandwagon fans will get it back to 12,000 if they win more consistently again. Hopefully on that path

I don’t think the crowd was that big but I’ve definitely been at games that had bigger crowds that weren’t nearly as loud. The energy was great tonight

Closer to 10K. Upper deck endzone only had a few dozen of about 1000 seats. Overall upper deck wasn't more than 75% full and if that's 5000 seats, that's 1250 empty seats right there. Surprised they either didn't give students those upper deck seats or maybe they tried but there wasnt any interest. BTW, what was the Zoo chanting to RJ? Couldn't make it out. I liked the one sign that said "Get a job Uncle RJ." Its funny and all but he makes more than just about everyone in the arena.

You'd have to be out of your mind to want to go to Oakland at 9 pm on a Tuesday night to watch this team play.
Well, the drive from lovely Westmorland County was easy. Had an authentic Chinese dinner at Chengdu Gourmet on Forward Ave. Easy parking there. Drove to Oakland, easy drive, and parked on Robinson St as usual, no problem. Watched a great game. Left and had almost no traffic going through town back east. I've always loved the late games.

You have a point with "this team". But, that's true regardless of time. We got lucky and they showed something tonight. I enjoyed it.

None of us understood the RJ chant either. Inquiring minds want to know.

I'd put it at 9,000. That's near 75% overall capacity. Maybe a few more, but there were empties everywhere, and some upstairs sections had no more than a few people in them. Pretty much what I expected.

Those kids at halftime were way better than the last kids team I saw trot out there.

And Krauser was in the Zoo with a yellow pitt construction helmet. Good times.

Weren't really paying attention to those kids. Were they Neshannock? That's a long drive home for a 9PM game. The best ones I saw were the Woodland Hills 6th graders last year. They were hitting NBA 3s.

Yes, Neshannock Lancers. They were a lot younger than 6th grade. Mostly layups. Some nice passes and a block too. The kid with blonde curly hair and red glasses was good.

It's a 1 hour, 9 minute drive from the Pete to Neshannock high school.

I believe they were announced as 4th graders before they took the floor. The kid with the blonde curly hair was fast, not sure if I'm going to say "good."
