Second Half

Browne is awful

They won't win a game with him at QB. slow. Stares down receivers.

Uhg. This team won't win 4 games

Hey clown , you defend these classes, say I TRUST HIM , horse crap, you win with better players or lose with worse , period , especially in college ball

Clown. Pot, meet kettle.

Again brilliant insight. Win with better players lose with worse. Maybe you can replace Corso on game day.

Peterman would not have been impressive with this offensive line and play caller either

You would rather blow him over the 55th rated class, not even understanding the game , fool. I bet you have hope for the Pirates every year , you strike me as one of those tards

Agreed Browne is junk. Agreed I think the ceiling is 4 wins. While Browne stinks, the entire defense is playing like 2 and 3 stars.

Far from the biggest problem today.

Both lines pushed around the entire 2nd half

Phew. Gotta hope that was an aberration but man. The D looks awful and the ol was bad. Just not much to be optimistic about

The good thing about opening our season on Thursday night is I know our coaches are sitting on their couch at home and taking furious notes.

Narduzzi was patting himself on the back at halftime.
This team is pathetic.
Same play beats us over and over again on D... wtf ?

And what I've said - pretty consistently - is if their classes are going to be rated where they are they better have a good eye for talent. They need to be able to identify players to outplay their rankings kinda like Wisconsin and Mich St.

So far that doesn't seem to be happening.

I think this season I am going to tape most of the games and then see if I want to watch them. This

Why? OSU will curb stomp Pitt without the need for adjusting their scheme. You have much better talent and experience at almost every position.

Pitt is going to struggle to become bowl eligible. The next two weeks are going to show just how big the gap is between us the top 25 programs. We are much closer to the bottom than the top.

Three years in and we still have walk-ons in key positions. We still cannot get all 11 players on the field and aligned properly. We struggle to throw the ball down the field due to poor talent at qb and wideout. And finally, during a huge 4th play late in the game, we give the ball to a 3rd string rb who looks to be better than at least one if not both players above him in the depth chart.

This staff is not getting it done.

The truth hurts feelings

I don't disagree. There is reason for concern.

I was never impressed with Ollison.

Ollison will prove to be very good this season - he's had some nice runs today - and then struggled at times later in the game much of which was due to playcalling and poor blocking... this is a decent line but not quite the same as last year. Hopefully they will keep getting better. Happy to see Davis in there - Have a feeling he will pass up Hall on the depth chart as the season goes on.

Without question, he is one of 2 or maybe 3 players that opponents are most concerned about. Makes no sense for anybody to be unimpressed by what he has done thus far for Pitt football.

So did anybody else catch this at the end of the game? I didn't notice it this play when watching in person (probably because I started drinking more heavily as Youngstown started to score). But man, that game winning TD pass to Weah in OT? Yeah we are REALLY lucky that the ref missed this blatant holding call and the TD stood. Watch the ESPN highlight and pause and go slow near 26 second mark... Number 4 DE for YSU almost got to the QB if our olineman wasn't blatantly holding him.
