Wont get an argument from most of us. It’s why they are referred to as the uniparty. Neither side wants to cut the waste and fraud The Rs kicked the can down the road once again when they could have started codifying doge cuts. They are playing a stall game to run out the clock and are hoping the Dems will take over in 2026. Then they can do what they’re good at. Writing mast letters making tough speeches and fund raising off the outrage

That's not the point to any of this. You're changing the subject. What does people reacting or overreacting about Musk have to do with the debt ceiling being raised? The point is if DOGE is yielding all sorts of awesome savings, whey is the debt limit being raised by $5 trillion? I think that is a legitimate question and has nothing to do with anyone's opinion of how fairly or unfairly Musk is being treated.
My point was that doge is not this huge chainsaw the left is making it out to be. I think the stated goal is $1 trillion in cuts last I saw and that will be tough to reach with all the red tape.
And for the record I hate debt and raising the debt ceiling. My biggest criticism of Trump 45 was his contribution to the national debt.
Did anyone expect a balanced budget in the near future? If not, then there needs to be a debt increase. The longer the better, I don't even think there should be a debt limit because it just leads to bad financial deals to get it passed.
Dotard donny promised to balance the budget and clear all federal debt. Of course he ended up owning more new debt than every president in history.

I’ll respectfully disagree. While I’m not expecting a balanced budget they should be codifying doge cuts and reducing the deficit. Doge has been successful identifying wasted and fraud. But anyone. With any level of intelligence knew that the shit bags in DC would have to take action to implement those cuts into the budget. Truth is both sides have benefited from waste and fraud and I have serious doubts they will ever address it

Yeah, I don’t take all of the performative stuff seriously. I was never expecting a check. But man he has driven you guys crazy.
He’s a smart guy but I also don’t think he realized how hard it was going to be to get rid of some of these entrenched programs.
But why do you guys hate him so bad? I seriously don’t understand it. He is trying to do what many prominent Democrats and democrat surrogates have talked about doing for years.

I’ve pretty much always thought he was an arrogant douche. Even before thinking he was an arrogant douche became trendy.
I could do without his Twitter obsession and constant tweets. I think he is an impressive guy though with his businesses.
