I think the Big 12 will be proactive here and grab UCONN.
Why wouldnt you?
They have already discussed it publicly. They add anybody so why not?
Better question is whether the Big East should add Pitt, and perhaps BC, Syracuse, and maybe WVU.The basketball program brings a lot of value and it seems like UConn is going to get added eventually once FSU, Clemson, and others leave. Wouldn't it make sense to just add them now and maybe give them no football revenue for X amount of years (so more money for the FSU crybabies) but cut them in on an Notre Dame Basketball-like revenue distribution deal. So, like ND, they get bball revenue only for a good while.
Wazzoo & the jerk AD can stay right where they are.Fairfield county Connecticut (contains 35% of the population of the state of Connecticut) and is in the New York City TV marketplace (largest in the US).
This was the reason the B1G decided to bring in Rutgers.
Have no problem with Connecticut coming to the ACC Conference with Oregon State and Washington State if FSU and Clemson leave.
New football powers will emerge in the ACC to fill that vacuum (2 teams to play in the National Championship Series). I wonder how many times FSU or Clemson will be selected as a member playing in the SEC or B1G.
HAIL TO PITT!!!!

B1G bought the serious players. The guys in NC are playing golf.Actually, the ACC needs a Western Pod like the B1G.
ACC: Standford, Cal, Washington State, Oregon State
B1G: USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon
Makes sense.
I wounder if preliminary discussions are underway especially with respect to the FSU/Clemson situation.
HAIL TO PITT!!!!
Before I watch this, can someone confirm this guy's "source with knowledge of the ESPN TV deal" is someone other than Greg Swaim? Every freaking time I see a headline about some breaking news on the ACC collapse, its some fan blog site citing Greg Swaim.
Looking at the picture, I'm pretty sure the source is Montgomery Burns.
Or at least someone who knows as much about the subject as him.
