Sigh. Ok ill say it. #PonyUp

Definitely minimal shot to do it, but weird stuff happens in college football man. The thing about it is smu has moved the ball and their defense had only given up 7 at that point. Whatever, its a rout and we'll probably be waiting til 8pm for a competutive game today
Chiefs vs Texans is competitive. Just saying. Steelers vs Ravens to follow, then the Penguins vs Devils.
If I'm going to watch professional sports, prefer to watch the top leagues and players, not Kevin Jennings.

If it was just about watching the best players none us would watch college vs pro. College football has always been the funner more entertaining version to me and ill give the texas clemson game a shot at least haha

He does a hell of a job hosting Jeopardy though.

To be fair I will be flipping back and forth but watching without rooting interest.
The sport is rapidly changing into something I don't really want to watch that much.

SMU's d line hasn't been getting dominated at all. I'm sure they reached a breaking point at the end of the first half and it was tough to get up for another possession after the offense pissed on itself yet again.
The talent gap when these teams move up is almost always on the lines. SMU D line has held their own, but if Jennings was half a step slower, he may have been sacked like 12 times by now instead of having all these throw aways. 99% of the reason Michigan was even competitive this year was cuz they still have good guys in the trenches.

I don't disagree with that premise; I just think the SMU d line is actually pretty respectable. We knew Penn State's defense would have a pretty significant advantage in the trenches against SMU's offense. SMU hasn't been able to get their quick-hittting tempo offense going to counterbalance that.

Michigan’s defensive front 4 was probably single handedly responsible for 4 wins or so, most notably the OSU win. The two DTs will be first rounders, Graham probably top 5.

They’re a joke. Have been all year. Just like IU. Well-coached but playing with a JV roster. Beat the brakes off weak competition, but inevitably they run into a brick wall when they play a team with drastically superior personnel.

One of seven teams in the nation allowing less than 100 yards rushing per game and SMU is 9th in the nation in sacks. I get that competition matters, but they're hardly a joke.

The offensive line... sure. Not the defensive line. Obviously they're demoralized now, so I'm sure the 4th quarter will be ugly.

Penn State is the better team. All I'm saying is there is no way it's anything close to this lopsided of a game without Jennings playing like the absolute nucleus of the innermost cell in a skunk's asshole in the first half.

They are mailing it in now. Over 4 quarters the physical difference is just too great. Shocking, really. They are embarrassing themselves in the way that they have just quit.

Our defense makes a lot of teams look better than they are. BC’s offense was terrible this year. Virginia couldn’t do anything except when they played us. Even against WVU and Cinci it was a lot of their own unforced errors that kept us in the games.

We can also look back over the years and it isn’t like this defense consistently stops anyone. Outside of the UNC and Wake games in 2021 it mostly took the offense to put up big numbers to win the games.

Narduzzi will never change his defensive philosophy so it is what it is.
This isn't a philosophy issue as much as a talent issue. No one on the defensive line can consistently beat their man to command a double team.

It’ll look the same vs boise st next week
Maybe, but I have a gut feeling Boise will give PSU a lot more trouble than these bums did, starting with putting more pressure on the PSU D and forcing Allard to try to make plays.

IU was #1 in rushing D, 3rd in total D. They are very well coached as is SMU. Doesn’t change the fact that their starting personnel aren’t even close to top 25 in the P4, they have zero depth, and that inevitably shows up. PSU has a totally different level of player than those teams, and they are 2-3 deep with superior talent.

And let me restate it-they’re not a joke, neither is IU. I shouldn’t have used that word. They just aren’t legit contenders for anything, despite having great records, because it’s obvious they don’t have the kind of personnel the big boys have. And the coaching is very good at both programs. They both max out what can be done with the players they have.

He laid quite a bit higher than -250.
Yeah pre game had to be around -320. I never, ever play those. There's no return, cause you're gonna lose some, and have to win at a massively high % to actually come out ahead.

Plus I'd never, ever, ever put money on a nitter.

Generally only do money line dogs or toss games because the margins suck otherwise
