Sign a Petition for Nike Sibande

Just watched ACC Network show. “Nothing But Net”. Sibande was discussed as if he had already received the waiver.

Is it possible he has gotten it but that Pitt just hasn’t announced it yet?

I sure hope so. It is ridiculous that it wasn’t approved right away.

If he has it just happened in the last day or so, because just the other day Capel was complaining about them still not making a decision and when asked when they would he said that he had no idea.

There would literally be no reason for Pitt to have gotten an answer and be hiding it from everyone. Unless you think we need to spring a big surprise on St. Francis.

Yes. No word on Sibande yet. Capel said so in his Friday long interview. ACC Network show folks didn’t know he didnt have a waiver when they filmed, apparently.

Right but don't you have to have a "hardship?" What was Trey's?
No. There is a “Run off waiver” that schools are blanket signing as the player who left “wouldn’t have had a spot on the team”. Pitt filed it like it was a run off waiver. Miami disputed that. It’s Pitt compliance’s fault.

Except it’s not

So that’s why he didn’t get the waiver and everyone else did is what I was saying. Everyone else smartly filed for run off waivers and Pitt did not. It was a HUGE mistake.

And you’re falling for it.
So, in your earlier post you said that Pitt compliance erred by filing a run-off waiver. In this post, you say that Pitt made a huge mistake by not filing a run-off waiver. Which mistake did they make?

They should’ve asked for a runoff waiver and made a stink about it. You don’t get hardship waivers for having a baby

I dunno about all this waiver stuff.
But it seems pretty simple, the school that you are leaving either lets you go or stays salty because you are leaving. If they're butthurt then it's harder for you to play right away.

You also don't get run off waivers if the previous school says you weren't run off and doesn't relent. And considering that Miami has lied about the whole process to date, what on earth would make anyone think that if Pitt called it a run off situation that Miami would have just gone along with it?

This is true. There’s almost no chance you’re getting a waiver the way they tried also. I helped 2 kids get run off waivers this year. It was the easiest thing to do.

You don’t get a waiver to transfer up because your girl had a kid. One of the dumbest things ive ever heard.

It's the easy thing to do if the previous school doesn't fight it. It's essentially impossible to do if the other school does fight it. Miami is fighting it. Unless Miami relents there was no chance that a run off waiver was going to work. Since Miami is willing to go so far as to lie about the fact that they are fighting it, why would they just give up?

Well that’s why I added the caveat it’s hard to convince someone you got runoff if you transferred up.

This waiver was never gonna go thru regardless unless they gave into public pressure and considering the coach is fighting for his job I doubt that’s ever gonna happen.

Capel and Pitt dropped the Ball on this one. Some just can’t grasp why
Maybe he did, maybe they did, but the most important factor to me still seems to be the other school and how the coaches act.
If they're pissed then you're gonna have a problem.

Change Pitt to Duke or any other big name basketball program and it gets approved. You should be allowed to transfer one time and be eligible immediately. This whole song and dance happening right now is BS.
