Well that’s why I added the caveat it’s hard to convince someone you got runoff if you transferred up.

This waiver was never gonna go thru regardless unless they gave into public pressure and considering the coach is fighting for his job I doubt that’s ever gonna happen.

That's why the rule for one "free" transfer per player can't get here soon enough. Take all the bullshit out of the process.

I don’t think all waivers should be denied, but a blanket waiver is also not a fair system. It’s already designed against the Robert Morris’ of the world becoming a farm system and it ain’t gonna help Pitt. If Kentucky or whoever blue bloods can just look at Pitt’s rosters and decide they want to take their best players instead of recruiting another one and done its gonna become even more of a cesspool.

as far as I know Pitt had 30 days (from 9/24) to file appeal. NCAA then had 21 days to give some decision (normally pre COVID of course). So I would think they should here something by first ACC game.

Bilas has been all over this -he even pulled the paperwork to call Miami(oh) on their bullshit excuse

Bilas had some good comments on the waiver issue the other day in (I think) the BC-Nova game. He said, to paraphrase, that not allowing guys waiver this year when in effect everyone is getting a free year of eligibility was ludicrous. They were talking about a BC player still waiting to see if he' be eligible.
