SMF’s crush to UNLV

This one you can't even be mad at. Dude has wanted to be an OC all along. I'm not a fan of the guy, but he will finally get his chance..... What he does with it will determine where his career goes.

Ironically, I believe Marion was the OC at Howard when they traveled to Vegas and pulled off the largest upset in FBS history (spread-wise) on the Rebels.

Assistant coaches moving every single season is pretty much average?
I’ll have to check, are ANY of Pitt’s assistant’s from last year returning?

yeah, it's quite a ridiculous statement. i'd guess asst coaches avg tenure at their current school is 3+ years..

It’s pretty average
How many wr coaches have we had under Narduzzi ?
He’s climbing the ladder

It's not average. He's the only WR coach that left here after 1 year. He's jumping around as a way to advance, which is his MO.

UNLV is a good level for him to take a shot as a FBS OC.

ok Souf, i like it. i give you credit for a very factual reply..

So now we think because Marion moves every single season, it's normal?

Is it normal to move every single season when your HC or OC doesn't get fired or leave that school?

36% of assistants do
Including your hero
When he was at pitt we won the acc, had the best wr in college and Heisman finalist

It was the only season our wr Corp was a weapon since walt

36% of asst coaches avg 1 season at a program over an 8 year period?

Souf, where are you getting these numbers at?

Here’s another few thousand
Ha!Ha!
You’re actually presenting that as supporting evidence. The average pay for assistant coaches is $45,000 a year??
Maybe Marion should try to get a job as an assistant manager at McDonalds. He would be getting a pay increase based on your facts and data.
You know Souf it’s okay to occasionally just say that you exaggerated to make a point, rather than jumping through hoops to try to prove that you’re never wrong (kind of life a recent former President.)

Well, Marion has been a coach at 11 schools since 2011, including high schools. He has been at a school for more than 1 season ONCE in that time frame, and that was for 2 seasons!! Next year will make it 12 schools and another one year stop at Texas.

He can show any numbers he wants, that’s not normal.

How does this guy recruit? “Well Mr&Mrs Smith your son Johnny will have my best interests in …oops, let me rephrase that…” That is, if he remembers the school colors he’s wearing.

You think that's every year?

(fixed) Cignetti's tenure at previous colleges/teams was 1,9,1,2,4,1,1,1,2,1,3,1,2,1,2, and that's terrible and should tell people something.

Marion's is 1,1,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,1 so what should that say?

Attempting to make Marion's seem OK by using Cignetti was stupid.

And that's not even accurate because he was at IUP for 9 years.

But I agree it's a pretty stupid comparison.
