Von Benko used to be Cincy’s radio guy back in the Huggy era. Otherwise, he’s been a middling Western PA radio journalist for many years.
Good. We’ll see what comes out with the behind the scenes stuff everyone keeps referencing, but on the court, the team has been terrible for years. So little improvement over the past 3+ years. Lacking just as much talent as the men’s team.
When Von Benko was on the radio in Pittsburgh, he was accurate on a good bit of recruiting and coaching information. He ran a serious sports talk radio show, filled with good guests and information. Some people didn't like him and he received a good many crank calls. The show was worth putting up with the idiots to get the information it provided.
It was not like it is today: You call a show, 10 words come out of your mouth, One of the two hosts interrupts you, cuts off the call so they can argue with each other on the point they just threw out for discussion. Rinse and repeat.

Pitino would be trying to do other things to the women, and I am not talking about coaching.
She was a complete disappointment and a total fraud.
Good for Heather. SCP did a horrible job in the hiring process and interviewed no one else for that job and got some interest from around the country (which ironically HL says in the quote that it will get looks around the country; Score one for HL digging at SCP)
Barnes made it worse signing her to an extension when her one year of success was linked to Agnus' star player. I truly didn't think she would pull the trigger on this one so late, especially since people saw Susie drinking it up at the Final Four with her husband.

I thought there was a lot of potential for SMS when she was hired. Just didn't work out.

Don’t know if he’s 1a but they probably should at least consider Dan Burt.
When you lose a local star Catholic school recruit you know that is a big red flag, especially since McConnell played and coached in that system. I think we can safely say Burt was responsible for the modest success she had with the Dukes and coaching Oakland Catholic is nothing like coaching in the ACC.
We have dead men tweeting coaches fired and rumors the replacement is ugly? How do you guys know? Anyone actually seen this person?

Not sure how credible this is but I would say where there is smoke there is fire considering the number of transfers they have had.
