i really thought he'd make it sort of competitive this year and then stink it up next year and then that'd be it. worst case scenario, this season really stinks and we cut him in april.

but this is catastrophe level. i can't remember too many BB coaches getting canned mid season. but stallings is working hard to get there.

the schedule is mostly duds until the end of december. if we're looking at a bunch of losses to the chumps, have to figure he's dumped for the ACC schedule. the "there's no way it's worse" argument would hold. maybe you let an assistant do it. maybe you ask crean to be interim.

if we go through this schedule and have 0-3 wins, he's gotta get the ax.
