That's a very high buyout. Umm...thanks Steve????

Lets run some numbers. Had Dixon stayed and hit some incentives, lets say he would have made 2.5 million per for the next 7. That's 17.5 million we would have paid.

Now, lets say we go way out of the park and hire Sean Miller or Greg Marshall for $5 million per year for 7 years, that's $35 million but minus the $10 we got from TCU, only $25 million, only a million more per year than what we were paying Dixon.

And its been rumored that Miller doesnt have a buyout, he would just forfeit shares of a trust......but for a 1.5 million raise, it would be worth it.

what about Marshall's buyout, didn't he just sign a big new contract last year, being it is with Wichita, I'd assume he probably has a pretty hefty buyout built in

Marshall can name his job any time and is in no danger of ever being fired at Wichita. It would make no sense for Marshall to have agreed to any significant buyout.

If u take that money and put it towards the new coach, then u could easily offer 4 million a year over 5-6 years.
