ESPN.com said Peterman to Boyd score and the game was going to OT. I get the stream on and Iowa is celebrating the field goal. What happened between the Pitt score and the FG?
Pitt happened, sorry couldn't resistESPN.com said Peterman to Boyd score and the game was going to OT. I get the stream on and Iowa is celebrating the field goal. What happened between the Pitt score and the FG?
We scored with 52 seconds left. That was just enough time to be pitted.
Squibbed the kickoff rather than just get the touchback. Gave up 15 yards of field position by letting them return the kick to the 35. A couple of QB scrambles and quick completions later Iowa hit the 57 yard game winner.
I've been a Pitt fan for a long time. I had no doubt that Iowa would make that field goal. Could have been a 77 yard attempt and it would have been good. It couldn't be any other way.
Gave up 10 yards, not 15. Touchback goes to the 25.
Golly that makes a huge difference. Squibbing it was obviously the right move then.
