Some rumors about negative recruiting

Someone with the Team Evolve logo which I think is his 7 on 7 team posted that college coaches are upset about his influence. Inotherwords, PSU and others are upset he is recruiting players to go to Pitt is what I make of it.
only thing that matters is loi day. can narduzzi rally the 412 crew and close strong? or does franklin come in and take sanders, hamlin and hudson?
It would really be fun to hear what actually happened. I saw the Team Evolve thing too. OK, so Ford is said to be very dynamic and a leader, and its known he is actually recruiting his friends to come to Pitt. Any coach who continues to get news that Ford in actively recruiting several of his guys can't be happy about it, but did a coach actually confront him? Bad mouth him to a recruit? Something went down. Franklin and Kelly come to mind as the most likely coaches who would've taken some action. Could be funny stuff if we ever hear the details.
I think it's one of the 7 on 7 coaches making a general statement about how much influence he has on local kids. Maybe not even a coach, but a teammate. No mention of a coach that's why I think it's more of a general statement about ford.
-Hamlin, Sanders, Hudson, Adams, Jeter, And Wade. That about covers the ones Ford is recruiting that I know. He publicly announced this in an interview. And Coaches are pissed off because there is a legit chance of the 412 crew going to Pitt to try to win a National Title. He stated he is the leader of bringing together the 412 crew. Penn State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame are not happy. Obviously. Paris Ford launched the 412 twitter frenzy when all of them said hail to Pitt. Obviously there is smoke coming out.

Any coach at any level complaining about that comes off not so much as a cry-baby but nervous too. As if negative recruiting is something new (which this isn't IMHO anyways).

There is no violation. Ford can recruit anyone he wants. Also, no reason to believe any coach is upset about that. Sounds like one Twitter post & a lot of message board conjecture.
Is the smoke an attempt to cast doubt on the legitimacy of Ford being a "lone wolf" by suggesting the Pitt staff is actively using him? I see that as a stretch but others may not.
Actually 90% of the conjecture is on twitter. There are 20 messages on here and about 200 about it on twitter. I can usually figure out what is going on with Twitter through a little forensic tweet investigation, but I must agree with the other posters, this one has me confused.
I love reading this board but it is slowly being replaced by twitter.

No, some PSU assistant referenced it a while ago. He said kids should do their own thing and not follow friends to school.
Here's what I hate about James Franklin. Really what I dislike. He is the biggest hypocrite in college football. So you prospective #412 recruits need to think about this.
He derided and chastised kids who flipped from him at Vanderbilt, questioning their character. But he has no problem flipping kids or trying to for his team.
He whines and bitches about the use of social media in recruiting by Pitt, but he is the champion of social media activity.

I do not follow Recruiting except from Info I read here by Poster that know more, and I thank them for their insights.
I do compare Rankings and do some analysis and Numbers & Links.
They way I read it if Pitt can recruit 6 to 8 Four Star Players they will make the Top 25 and they have 2 right now. Anything 9 or above and one make the Top 15!

Finally, Pitt has a Coach that can coach up and Recruit after years of having one or either but seldom both. Ranking has moved to 55 but that is after effects of Pederson's Poison that has to be overcome with so much more to do and just a few seniors left this year. If Pitt can grab just another 4 to 6 Four Star Recruits they have a Top 20 to 30 Ranking. New Coaches at Miami, UVA, Cuse, VT, and stable staffs at Duke, UNC, and Georgia Tech is Coach Narduzzi & Staff challenges on August to December Game Days and February Signing Day! The Bad News Narduzzi & Staff are still in the Top 50s, and the Good News Narduzzi & Staff can coach up 3 Star recruits into Great Players. The problem for Narduzzi & Staff is that the ACC Coastal just got a group of New Coaches that is a new challenge to Pitt and that will make it tougher on Coach Pat & Staff but they are up to it, in my opinion!

He reminds me of Wannstedt a good Recruiter but not Game Day Coach and going up against Meyer, Harbaugh and Dantonio is a tall order now to overcome. Penn State has dropped to #16 now and that does not include losing Quinn Nordin that has De-committed from Info reported on 247 Sports? The practice I witness is that Franklin after initial success in recruiting, does not close that well, so resorts to poaching other recruits as when other better recruits reject Penn State. He did this to Vanderbilt in 2014, Pitt and Rutgers in 2014, and with his falling numbers expect it in these last 2 months of 2016? However, the bloom is falling off the Rose with "The Franklin Plan" that does not show up on Game Day and OC Donovan got that blame?

Judging by the drop in reported couch fires the last couple of falls, I doubt WVU's wins in recruiting are really being seen as a positive.
Agree, Coaching Character Matters and Dana Holgrosen is a Good Coach make no mistake about it, but Stoops, Patterson, Briles, Snyder, and Gundy are better! Strong will be there too once he settles in or p[roves he can';t do it at Texas with gar more resources will join or be let go!
This Franklin's problem with better coaches at Big Ten Programs.
Coach Pat & Staff now has a tougher time too, as the ACC Coastal just improved their coaching at UVA, VT, Miami, and Cuse, joining UNC's Fedora, Duke's Cutcliffe, GT's Johnson and Pitt's Narduzzi!

And that means selecting the right people that can attract and keep the better Great Coaches!
Top 25 Programs come from Top 25 Winning over 10+ Winning Seasons over Ten Staright Years not just a few, and then having a Chancellor that keeps that at the Top of his Agenda, not just a few years???
Moreover, never turn it over to any Athletic Director like Steve Pderson taht proved he could not build a Top 25 Program at Pitt and not maintain one at Nebraska and could not attarct or choose a Coach that wanted to stay to work with him!
1. Chancellor's Vision & Selecting the Right People!
2. Find Coaching That Can Coach Up & Adapt Players Into Winning Teams!!
3. Stay Away from Athletic Directors that put themselves ahead of the above two goals above!!!
4. And don't bring back a failed Athletic Director that no one else wanted!!!!

As stated by me over and over, up to Pitt Higher Ups to make it happen unlike what Chancellor Bowman did to end Pitt great run from 1910 to 1938! The same for Posvar with no follow up after 1980's.
