Nicole Auerbach at the Athletic reported today that the NCAA Board of Governors will be meeting Friday and could vote to cancel the NCAA-sponsored championships this fall. That wouldn't apply to football since the CFP is a separate entity from the NCAA, but if the NCAA were to cancel its championship events, it would seem to raise the pressure on the FBS schools and the CFP to call theirs off as well.
