Bol Bol will be interesting to watch. If he never develops or struggles, you have to wonder about all of these inexperienced, tall African players who go to college for a year (hell Bol didn't even play a year) and if missing college impacts their development at all, or if they may have been better off learning the game at the collegiate level for a couple of years.

He's been in the country since 2yrs old and has played basketball almost all his life.

He's not a traditional African player that's new to the sport.

I know. But he was projected as a lottery pick and had the biggest fall of any projected lottery pick in NBA draft history.

His college play was really good and is what boosted him up draft boards. His draft status was hurt by the stress fracture in his foot...not good for a big man. Coming back to college for him would have been a huge risk that he does more damage to his foot.

Yep! His falling into the second round allows Denver to take a shot at him, without making a large financial commitment. If the foot fails, they've lost nothing. If it stays intact, they may have gotten a lottery level prospect for basically nothing.

I know first round picks are guaranteed but I really wanted the Cavs to take a chance on him at 26 or 30, we’re gonna be bad for a couple years so it was worth the risk to me.
