Especially when Game 7 goes to overtime and at it's absolute best when it is Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals !Game 7, NHL playoffs is the best drama in sport. Best. Nothing compares.
LOLOL....and then Kasperi Kapanen scoring the OT goal for the Oilers to move on to the conference finals last night. I mean the Sports gods have some major hate on us Yinzer sports fans.Granlund with a hat trick last night? Are you kidding me ? And Tocchet to the Flyers ? Wow.
Penguins and Pittsburgh sports just continue to suck out loud.
Yeah, that's not going to happen. So happens that there are 4 Stanley Cups in Florida this century.Stars vs Hurricanes finals is the finals the NHl doesn’t want, but needs to realize they need to contract. Will be worst rated finals in many years. NY metro doesn’t need rangers, isles, and devils. Florida doesn’t need two teams. Contract the league and enhance talent.
The NHL is also talking about expansion with Atlanta at the top of the list.Yeah, that's not going to happen. So happens that there are 4 Stanley Cups in Florida this century.
What a joke that would be. They already had 2 chances. It's purely a money grab for the current owners. They charge exorbitant expansion fees and send a good player to them , while fans pay the price watching minor league hockey with a bunch of ham and Eggers. The NHL is also talking about expansion with Atlanta at the top of the list.

Yep, the higher tax burdened states should really look into how they can reduce taxes to level the playing field, if they want their sports teams to be competitive! Here's an interesting take on the success of Florida and Tampa and the issues with especially the Canadian teams. Because of the higher income tax in Canada especially, but also places like Cali and NY, you can sign players for less in Florida, yet their net pay is the same as higher salaried players in high taxed areas. Because of this, it is giving some teams like $5 million dollar of cap space with amounts to a 2nd line forward or a 2nd pairing Dman, giving them deeper (better) teams.
It's starting to get more and more attention.
I can't say I'm a McDavid fan, but I wouldn't write him off yet. I kinda feel like last year was his Pens 2007-08 season, and this year could be his Pens 2008-09 season. Can Canada get shut out again? They haven't won a Cup since 1993.
