State Penn just fired their OC

I’m a Pitt fan realist. The only downside to him is that he might be up for a better job elsewhere.

He’s a local, which we know Narduzzi loves.
He’s got recruiting chops and I imagine has already been working our regions and has relationships.
He been the OC for 8 top-20 offenses in his 9 seasons as an Offensive Coordinator at PSU, Texas, and OK State.

Under most circumstances we wouldn’t have a chance to get him at this point in his career. He’s going to land a P5 OC position and he would be a Home Run hire for this program.

Might not be a big deal, but didn't Narduzzi talk smack on Penn State's offense over the summer? He said something like, "Christian is still adjusting to learning a real offense after the one he came from."

For that reason, I wonder if either:

1) Narduzzi doesn't like his scheme, or

2) He wouldn't want to work for Narduzzi after that comment

If he does end up here, though, I'm sure the internet will have fun with it. Every time Narduzzi puts his foot in his mouth it seems to come back on him.

And we're supposed to think PN will be willing to part ways with 4-5 assistant coaches?? Hopefully he won't have a say in that. Bring back Beatty to run the offense. The heat is on PN and not on the street lol. H2P
It's 100% going to be his say. Do you honestly think HL is going to make the call? What's she gonna do, threaten to fire him for cause, go to court, and settle for 90% of his buyout?

I mean seriously, the only hope is that Duzz sees the light.

The SMF meltdown if they hire Marion will be epic.

That would be the ultimate troll move so he'll probably do it. Marion is going to be a wanted man. And we coulda had him.....and maybe Addison
What if Franklin doesn't hire Marion? I mean he would have to basically sabotage his program if he didn't consider Marion - correct?

True, but after adjusting to a "real offense" I'd hope Narduzzi has come to realize that he has absolutely no idea what a good offense looks like. He should check the tape more. I wasn't predicting that Narduzzi would do it, I just think he SHOULD do it.

Yurcich is the type of candidate that Pitt wouldn't have a shot in landing as an OC in other circumstances. If he'd have been allowed to finish the season he'd likely have been interviewing for some G5 HC positions.

But the reality is that Pitt is either going to end up with some tired retread that's about to get fired and hasn't put together a top 50 offense in the last decade or some g5 coordinator that has the 4th best offense in their conference.

You need to decipher when something is meant as malicious and when something isn't.

Duzz was just stating the obvious and what every pro-style coach and QB says when looking at spread-esque 1 read systems. Hell, Jordan Palmer among several others ripped Art Briles saying his system was the absolute worse to be prepared to play the pro game. With that being said, I don't think Duzz has a lack of respect for any system or philosophy.

He absolutely meant it maliciously. Only a naive fool would think otherwise. That's who he is.

And I will tell you a 100% that she certainly does have a say in it when donors are in her ear. Quit guessing like u always do. I pass on some info and get crucified for it. Now counter it with a look at me post. Smh

Enos is PN's speed

Everyone is guessing. You're the one making look at me posts.

If I was Narduzzi I'd laugh if she walked into my office and told me what changes I needed to make.

I don’t think Duzz has enough functional brain cells to have actually cognitive thinking .

It would not shock me in the slightest if he hired Lewis or Marion.
I did stop over there to read thru the “New OC thread”
Taking out all the fan guessing, which included about 50+ names.
Both of those names were mentioned.

Their staff writers noted several things
1) money was going to be an issue
2) must be a QB developer
3) look for bigger name, doubt it will be 1st time coordinator
4) they think NFL experience

Several names mentioned but can only remember Joe Brady bills and Kliff Kingsberry. Some guy from the Ravens and another guy from the patriots a Ruggerio

Franklin wants to have it done by December

Typical response from egotistical, arrogant people. People are laughing at PN.

And what type of response is this?

Heather just told everyone Narduzzi is safe and he's not getting fired.

This notion she was going to stroll into his offense and direct his staff changes under threat of firing him was ridiculous.

I don't need to have sources to know they aren't eating his buyout. It's common sense.

This is 100 percent correct. Yurcich is a great cootdinator

Lol HL is his boss and she runs the show. If PN isn't going to work with her he is going to be shown the door. Enough of some of you clowns that believe everything you read in the media is gospel. I think you and some others thought we were stuck with Stallings. Let's celebrate the Cignetti hire again 👏👏👏

I'm sure he's concerned, concerned they don't spell his name wrong on the $30m+ check they'd be writing him.

It's no different than corporate execs with contracts. They win either way.
PN is a pompous ass and should give some of his $$$ back from this season towards improving the program.
Wannstedt was told to rid himself of some of his assistants and didn't comply then was shown the door. Some of you are dense. Keep guessing Joe Publics

Then he'll respond please show me the door, and make sure you spell my name correctly on the severance check. Hey, he can work for 7 years and earn it, or he can be fired and earn it. Stallings and Wanny were pocket change in comparison.

When she chose to give him that extension, she was married to him, just like Capel. Remember everyone clamoring that she will demand Capel make changes to his staff?

If Narduzzi makes changes, it will because he wants to make changes. It's that simple.

Anybody with common sense knows she has no stroke in this situation. There's no fantasy group of donors ready to pony up to buy him out. If you think there is, I have a bridge to North Side to sell you.

As supposed to the $2.9m per win we are paying him ?
