Both are horrible at 3rd and short

Inconsistent qb play and poor run blocking. When you can't run the ball and your qb isn't a stud your going to struggle to score points.

I have never seen an NFL play so many skill position guys that were either on the practice squad or on the street the week before. Even I have never heard of some of these guys, and that’s saying something.

No way they can know the plays at this point.

Rudolph isn't inconsistent. He is pretty consistently bad. Pickett is definitely inconsistent, but he has nothing to work with. Rudolph at least gets good pass protection. Steelers skill position guys are brutal. Pitt has no skill players and a bad o line

Pass protection subpar today imo.

It’s unacceptable to run the guys out there that the Steelers are. Rudolph looks lousy, but I don’t think Joe Montana could succeed with a bunch of guys that couldn’t even make the team anywhere else. If

I thought Rudolph did a pretty good job and showed some promise up until the browns game when he was just terrible. I had an idea the coaches were holding him back and now I'm starting to think the coaches might be trying to hide him. I'm undecided. I like the way he doesn't get all frazzled in the pocket he hangs in there, but he has an awkward way of jumping into the linemans pocket in front of him.

I agree , I was asking myself who in the hell is Cain and Wyhte?

I still think he can be serviceable (and cheap), but he’s got to have guys that at least know the plays. I saw the Steelers scored 51 TD’s last year and more than half (28) were by Brown and Conner, guys that either aren’t here or can’t play. Most of the guys the Steelers are running out there won’t even be in the league after this season.

Also think Rudolph hasn’t been the same guy since the Earl Thomas hit, has looked slow and sluggish since that play.

He is way to slow with his decisions which could improve as he gets more game time

His O-line cannot pass block worth a damn. These guys get pushed back seemingly every play and Rudolph ends up with a big ass hitting him when he releases the ball. A clean pocket just once in a while would be nice to see.

Thankfully Washington got in there or we were going to be subjected to a FG. Big possession coming up here.

Rudolph scared to throw downfield. Duck isn't. Offense goes on immediate scoring drive. I don't even think Hodges is some future stud but at least he takes chances. Rudolph doesn't have confidence and if you dont have confidence you have no chance.

OL really stepped up big on that play as well. Nice clean pocket.

IMO Jamas Lofton is great at color commentary. I really enjoy his insights.
