We can debate the merits of Tomlin, but this falls on the Rooneys as well- and not for the reasons you think. We had $28M in available cap space to address glaring holes and did nothing with it. I’ll always respect that family, but any head coach will have a hand tied behind their back if they don’t spend to the cap.
Never has a 21-0 game felt more like 61-0.

I’d rather have Aaron Glenn the Lions DC, look what he’s done with dudes basically off the street the past two months. Also, I think the Lions offense is more Dan Campbell than Ben Johnson.
I think two things can be true:
Mike Tomlin is one of the best head coaches in the NFL, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he won a Super Bowl somewhere else…

Tomlin would have to go to a team where the talent is already Teed up to win like it was when he came to the Steelers.

And where the veterans effectively coached the team themselves and all he had to do was stand there.
I think Herbstreit mentioned that was an intentional coaching decision to commit to Henry no matter what… not working so far.
Tomlin conned this locker room. TJ, Cam, Minkah actually thought that Mike T was the guy who could lead them to the promised land.
Which is weird because it’s my understanding that in previous games it was Lamar.
