Everyone thought that Darnell Washington would really help in the red zone, a huge tight end to be a big target over the middle.
Instead he's almost never even on the field in those situations. Except when he's the 12th man in the huddle.
See why having actual skills matters? Our guy is out there skipping around and playing in f***ing gloves. Is this silly experiment over yet?

What useless off season signing Pat Pete was. I'd cut him at the end of the season.

Anyone remember how they’d use the TNF games for color rush uniforms? They should use these games for throwback unis. Could even bill it as ‘Throwback Thursday.’ Would’ve loved to see the block numbers against the Oiler threads.

Kenny has blown, but having no Minkah leaves two clueless safeties. That is part of why Levis is picking them apart.
Wonder if things might be a little different with Corey Trice. He was getting rave reviews.
It is shocking how clueless they are. I wouldn't expect this kind of drop off, it's that drastic.
To be fair, Pickett is far better than Jurkovec. But who do you throw into the Steelers QB spot? Neither Mitch nor Mason are going to be any better
The offense has very little talent with a subpar OC. Pickens and Warren look as decent players with Pickens perhaps being better than decent. Johnson is average. Everyone else on the offense is replaceable.
It is time to blow up this franchise and start again. They should have traded Watt and others. Time to trade for picks and create cap space.

In THIS game…either would be. Pickett has been shaky for sure Up to tonight but in this one he can’t make ANY throw.
Far far better QBs have been sat down when they’ve stunk and survived, even thrived. One won four Super Bowls in this town

The Steelers are losing because of Kenny Pickett right now. Not Matt Canada, not the defense. Kenny Pickett.
Agree. Give Kenny the rest of the year, if it looks anything like this in game 17 you have to move on. That was a sad half of football for Kenny. He was outplayed badly by a guy playing in his 2nd game.
It's very possible a QB replacement might occur in the 2nd half. Equally though, the defense has to stop giving up long 3rd downs as well as get more pressure on their QB
I want Kenny to succeed because if he doesn’t, then the Steelers have wanted two first round draft picks on busts (Pickett and Harris). It sets the team back a couple more years.
Oh I don’t harbor illusions that they’ll replace Pickett in this game. But they clearly SHOULD. He is clearly physically impaired (or his mind is making him THINK he is). Even his completions in that half were poor throws. It’s crazy. You pay your backups to pick up for your guys when they can’t do it.
And I agree that the defense is unforgivable to not be able to stop a rookie QB … but still, in todays football, giving up 13 points in a half is nothing. In this town it only seems worse than it is because the offenses are so bad.
