Read the Washington Post NY Times LA Times Newsweek Time. Then read between the lines. Figure out what is true and what’s bullshit. Think first! How much fentanyl is made in this country along with other home made drugs. Yes fentanyl comes through Mexico so let’s blame Mexico. But no one talks about the meth labs, fake pot, and other drugs made in this country. Include all sources with real data that’s what I’m saying. A lot of the facts are made to scare the public. I’m not ignoring the fentanyl problem or saying it doesn’t exist but inform the public with the actual facts and truth.
As far as illegal drugs are concerned coming into the country it will never end. Like the prohibition times the mob always found a way to get or make alcohol. It’s the same with illegal drugs you can slow it down but it’s not going to end.
I have always said if the criminals spent as much time figuring out how to beat the law and used that thinking to be productive citizens then maybe we can curb the drug trade. Just my thoughts.
I don't read any mainstream news. Your sources all lean left. But that is obvious from your posts.
I actually agree with most of your post. I've always criticized the war on drugs as a failure. Just like war on poverty. Or most any domestic war waged by our govt.
I'm not arguing in favor of Trump's tariffs to stop drugs. In fact, I already stated that I oppose them as an economic policy. All I'm doing is representing his arguments for them. If they get implemented and costs go up, I won't whine about it until I see if really does have the intended effect of saving lives. If similar numbers of lives are lost post-tariff (or post-tariff removal due to better border control), then I will join the chorus that they were dumb both economically and as a drug policy.
Just so you know I don’t believe everything the left says either. It’s very hard to know who to trust in the media anymore I can’t watch MSNBC, Fox, CNN.

Wait. Why do they need to raise the debt limit with all the savings they have made?
They need $2 trillion just to balance the budget. They might get $500 billion at best.
