Fran Brown with some interesting comments.

"If it was UNC Belichik and BC Bill O' Brien this game likely gets played"

yeah, saw it was ruled against happening. something about the "timing" of it? doesnt make sense. thought it was a good idea..

Fran Brown is race baiting but I don't see who it is a good idea for. Herding you kids onto an airplane and incurring all of the extra expense for some goofy stunt is a terrible idea. If it was a day trip scrimmage on a bus it might make some sense.

It’s a dumb as hell idea

Yeah play a “game” where you can lose important players before the season starts… lol

Sure that can happen at any time but a real competitive game makes it more likely

is there any more danger than scrimmaging live against your own players?

Again, i kind of liked the idea of practicing against another team then ending it with a conotrolled scrimmage. i keep harping back to the steelers doing it with the redskins every year. and i know other nfl teams did it too.

steelers and skins would go back and forth and have a one or two day practices against each other in drills then cap it off with a friday night "scrimmage." Think they'd do it at latrobe. forget where the Skins had their camp at but it was close, a short bus ride so the cost was minimal unlike this colorado/cuse thing..

I dont know, kind of liked the idea. not even a revenue thing, just going against different bodies in the middle of camp. although it seems like summer camp now is much more condensed and shorter than the "good ol days" when the ncca didnt restrict practices as much as they do now and camp in johnstown seemed like it went on for a month..

It was deemed unfair since other schools didn't have a chance to do it. These will happen next year in big numbers.

Rutgers @ Pitt in April coming to a stadium near you. Nutting has already approved a noon start for us.

Washington had their training camp in Carlisle back then.

Hmm. I took as those guys with Ling NFL coaching tenured would be given the benefit of the doubt. Think you're reaching here. Mike Gundy is complaining too.
