TCU vs Michigan

I think you’re being biased. You can say that about every team in the country excep UGA.

And our back n forth here is distracting us from a very insanely entertaining game.

Not impressed with these teams. Both slightly better than Pitt. About the level of Clemson

Fans getting their monies worth in this game. Just like our bowl game, so much back and forth and exciting action. This one is going to be interesting the last few minutes.

Michigan not using a time out when you’ve got 3 three f@cking time outs is baffling

Other than Michigan and Ohio st the big 10 is nothing more than a bunch of ACC teams not including Clemson. Michigan out of conference schedule was complete trash. Their only quality win was OSU. PED ST didn’t beat a top 25 team all year.

ACC Recruit’s as good as the top big 10 teams do going by Star Average. Miami, Clemson, FSU, UNC, Louisville.

These officials were clowns today. That was textbook targeting. I've seen Pitt players thrown out for less.
You really think there is a ‘textbook’ when it comes to targeting calls. I think you know that’s not the case.

I definitely wouldn’t have been surprised if that was called targeting but I sure wouldn’t want to see the outcome of the game changed because of a targeting call there.

Yeah, textbook is literally anytime the defender lowers the head and hits a guy above the shoulders. It was targeting, it should've been called and it would've been called if it was any time during the game. The result wouldn't have changed, but come on.

You didn’t post in this thread all game. What were you doing, just waiting to pounce once a B10 team lost?

Let me give you a clue, the outcome of that game has no bearing on who’s better ACC or B10, who recruits better, etc.

Hope you enjoyed the game though, it was fun to watch.

He lost like 30 seconds

How so? He called all three timeouts after plays that ended up in bounds, meaning the clock was running and there was 40 seconds on the play clock. They actually saved the maximum time possible using them the way that they did.

There is nothing textbook about what’s called targeting and what isn’t.

First down.

He didn't lose anything. If he called one sooner, they would have just ran more time off the clock after third down, because he wouldn't be able to stop the clock.

Right. I think the only argument would be that if he called them sooner, and then that pass that threw on 3rd down had been incomplete, it would have saved them more time. But that isn't what actually happened, and that's also assuming that if they didn't have a timeout left after the 3rd down play that they would have ran the same play on 3rd down. Which maybe they would have, or maybe not.

But the way that it actually played out, they saved the maximum amount of time that they could have.

F—ck your Big 10. What did I say that wasn’t accurate?

An advantage to calling them earlier is that if you get a turnover, you still have one left, and the ball. Not likely, of course. But maybe worth it.

Yeah, don’t know why but they mentioned that few prior times when there were reviews that they were coming from Pittsburgh.
I'm pretty sure the company that provides the replay equipment for pretty much all of college football is a Pittsburgh company, so maybe they have to call to a command center here in town to get the various replay views? Like I said, I'm almost certain this is the set-up for every single NCAA football game so it's kinda weird I've never heard it mentioned previously.

I also think that when you call them earlier, the offense has an incentive to run the ball no matter what. I think Michigan having that TO in their pocket on the 3rd down play actually gave TCU the incentive to throw the ball there, knowing the clock was going to stop after the play no matter what. The throw was completed but Michigan stopped them short, but I'm not sure you see a pass there if the clock is running.
