Good enough? If we made a coaching change today, would you sign up for that over the next ten seasons?

I don't think there are enough people even interested in Pitt football now to care. All we can hope to get, no matter the coach, is 5-7 to 7-5, and those would be in good years. Next year maybe we'll be 4-8 or 3-9.

Fortunately, I didn't watch the second half. Apparently it was another fiasco. So glad we can now focus on maybe getting a winning record with the hoops team.

Now give us the P4/5/ND numbers

I can probably do it by memory.

72 - 56

Subtract Wins: YSU, Akron, Villanova, Marshall, Rice, YSU, Albany, Delaware, Ohio, UCF, Eastern Michigan, Austin Peay, UMass, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Western Michigan, Wofford, Kent State, YSU

Subtract Losses: Navy, UCF, Western Michigan, Toledo

So 53 - 52, if I didn't miss anything.

This Pitt team is just another instance to prove that no team with less than 8 wins should ever get in a bowl game. And even with 8 wins (usually 3 or 4 that are against really bad teams), you still won't be guaranteed a bowl. This is like giving participation trophies to a team like Pitt just for showing up with 7 wins, most of which are questionable.

I disappointed with Pitt's performance today, but from a pure entertainment perspective, both of today's bowl games were far more entertaining than any of the first-round playoff games. That is the entire point of bowl games at this point, filler for ESPN and entertainment for football fans.

Well, it was a lot longer than the first half, I’ll say that.

Wow. 1 game above .500 against real teams. What an amazing job. The good news is I just bought Mega Millions here in Ohio so SMF Stadium + Nick Saban as HC coming soon.

I believe you forgot the most impressive line item: “2nd best conference win record in the ACC since 2015.”

thebadby2: doesn't that achievement (2nd best conference win record since 2015) tell you just how bad (or maybe I should say, "average") the ACC is? The fact that a team who can have just one 10 win season (including the bowl games) in 10 years is second best lells me just how crappy the ACC is compared to the other P4 conferences

Yes, particularly the former ACC Coastal.

Also says nothing more than that Narduzzi has simply been in the league longer than all but Dabo.

Post was sarcastically poking fun at the posters who always threw that around like it was some meaningful achievement.

Not enough people care. We don't have crazed fans (sorry SMF) that would start a firecoach page or donate enough to make a difference. Love Pitt...will keep hoping for a miracle 🙏

Another favorite is “Before the season we all thought they’d only win 5 or 6 games, so we should all be happy with the way this season went.” 😂😂😂

That's the best. Similarly, "We were 14 point underdogs and lost by 15. Seems like we performed to expectations. What's the big deal?"

As if assembling a team that was not 14 point underdogs in the first place is off the table.
