Is just hard to watch out there. Guy always seems to be in the wrong spot and doesn’t close on the ball all that well when he’s beaten. Obviously still a young player, but it just magnifies the issue of them taking such a big reach when they drafted him.

Our defense really isn't even playing that well; the 49ers just look like the 40-Moncriefs. However, our offense is inept to a point where we might end up with more forced turnovers than points.

The contact he made with their fullback on his diving catch was maybe the weakest thing I’ve ever seen an NFL player do. He basically tapped him which led to him being ruled down but I don’t know how you don’t knock the ball free there. He’s like a deer in the headlights any time the ball is in the air.
I really think this offense was going to struggle this year even with Roethlisberger at QB. They really miss Bell, now no Brown and maybe no Vance McDonald. It’s just not the same team anymore on that side of the ball. Other than Smith-Schuster they really don’t have any skill position guys left.
They needed 2 things, for Moncrief to be a credible #2 guy and for one of the running backs to take charge. Obviously neither of those have worked out. Now next year they are in the position of having to draft a WR as high as they can. Pass defense still stinks too.

This team was going nowhere this year. They have only one skilled playmaker on offense (assuming no McDonald) and the pass defense is lousy.

the rap on Edwards coming out of college was that he was a great athlete that had no instincts. Pretty much what we are seeing Along with Bud Dupree, Artie burnt toast and the bum from Georgia Colbert has had some big time busts in the first round. Add in Butler who is a dope and you have a defense that has been mediocre at best

Not a good look for the 3 first round picks in the secondary. It magnifies how bad they are when you watch the Saints totally shutting down Seattle through 3 quarters today.
They have invested so much in this secondary at the expense of other positions for a very limited return to this point. And yeah Tom Bradley sucks too, he should back up to the pay window to collect his check.

We should sew Dolphins patches to our uniforms this season, because we appear to be doing everything we can to help them build for the future.
This defense is absolutely pathetic. If San Francisco didn't go Three Stooges Mode in the first half, this thing would be an absolute blowout. Looks like they're back at it as I type this, but, win or lose, I won't be fooled into thinking this was anything but a poor defensive effort.
Damn. Assuming we now lose, Conner's fumbles have cost us quite a few games for him not even registering a full season as a starter, yet.
