Terrell Edmunds

Bush and Barron are not MLBs in this defense. Barron looks like a poor signing and I never liked the Bush pick. He's way too small.

Is just hard to watch out there. Guy always seems to be in the wrong spot and doesn’t close on the ball all that well when he’s beaten. Obviously still a young player, but it just magnifies the issue of them taking such a big reach when they drafted him.
Third round grades by most teams. We pick him in the first.

I was physically at the game today and Minkah played well. Edmunds looked bad and out of position for most of the game, Barron looked like literally just jogging on many of the plays.

The real problem is that the steelers got owned on the LOS on both sides of the ball.

I thought they may have originally drafted Edmunds with the intention of him taking Shazier's spot (ar at least some sort of nickel hybrid type player). His pass-coverage abilities seem to be very poor (although if that doesn't make him a true Steeler, I don't know what does).

But yeah - the lines didn't look too hot on either side. We knew SF's pass rush would be there, but we got beat in all four phases in the trenches. That final score would have been ugly if not for unforced turnovers. I don't even know where they go from here. Finney at left guard might be a start. They'll still need quite a few pieces in the offseason. The idea of competing in Ben's final years is just seeming less and less realistic. I don't know that he would even want to come back to a 4-12 team.

Lmao at 4-12. You are being very optimistic.

Once Cincy comes to Heinz and beats the breaks off of the Steelers in prime time people will be begging for 4 wins

Miami, Arizona, Cincinnati twice, the Jets, Buffalo... some of those teams look a lot better than us right now, but I'd say four sounds about right. I'd normally be hoping to lose out at this point, but even the joy in that has now been taken away, since we've parted with what should be very early 1st and 3rd-round picks.

lol, I'm glad the Steelers were able to give you your misery fix this week since you couldn't get it with Pitt. Yo are only happy when you have something to complain about.

Thing is I expected the Steelers to lose so why would that make me miserable? I honestly don’t expect them to win more than 2 games so it is mostly comedy from this point on.

Pitt still needs a quarterback and I feared that by beating UCF people would forget about that and get their hopes up too high and that is exactly what has happened. Some thinking Pitt can win out
