Yep. Basketball Unis have a pointed stripe but stripe removed from the football pants.
Give that it's Pitt I think we should All breathe a dig of relief that they didn't bitch Em up too much. Given the last 20 years of dumb logos and uniforms it's all I wanted.

the gold pants blue jersey gold helmet looks good
the only reason it isn't all throwback all the time is those guys drawing design paychecks gotta have their jobs justified somehow! it's so simple. take the uniform from 1981 or whatever and wear that. so simple.

The whites are bland. Kind of "old school" collegiate looking I suppose but also kind of DIII low budget looking. On the darks yet again the helmet gold is different than the pants/shirts gold.
Why is it so hard (impossible?) to get the golds to match?
Not sure who did the design (Nike or Pitt) but it doesn't look like much effort or thought was put into it.
Hate to be negative, but these disappoint. They'll look great if we win in them, though.

Yeah, you'll just have to trust me on this. The leaked picture from Paris Ford's Twitter had the 3s on the white jersey just like the ones on the blue one Whitehead wore tonight. Plus, there's no way they'd have different font sets for different colored uniforms. They just couldn't really make the stylistic changes they did to the fonts on the 3s, 6s, and 9s on a 4.
I thought I was clever? That's news to me. You could've read the first post in this thread, saw what it was about, and left. Instead, you had to give your opinion and belittle other people's opinions and tell them to get a life. You're doing the same exact thing as those people - posting on a message board. It's May, and we're all on a college football message board. Think about that.

-Blue Helmet is absolute boss. I like the all blue uniform and all white. More classic old school football feel, and as a future power run team with shut down defense, that's want I want to see. Old school.
Partial stripes on shoulders reek of K Mart blue light special. No clue who or what the white practice uniform represents; certainly not Pitt. If this is all that could be done, then go back to last year's uniform. Hard to believe that they could be worse than before. None of this crap identifies as uniquely Pitt Livery.

I want the team to win. I could give a sh*t less about what they are wearing. I find it bizarre that the shade of blue and gold, font and striping seem to matter so much to some of our fans. Too much "Project Runway" for me.

Blue helmet matte but gold is not? Am I mistaken ? Matte gold helmet would suit the gold numbers better. I don't like that.

I don't particularly think they got them right but nothing is more annoying than fans who complain about uniforms constantly.
I was meh at first, but in seeing them in better quality pictures, they are just fine. Nothing really changed. The white unis have some gold around the numbers. I love the blue helmet. Blue helmet on blue jerseys looks good too. Uniforms change practally every year too. I bet for psu we get the sweet throw back look.
Someone needs to tell the AD to throw away the gold pants. It can't be that difficult to match the pants and the helmets.
