what a wonderful season OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL PITT PROVIDED. considering, many were talking .500 season -pitt pulled off a very respectable season. I can't think of one occasion(well Miami) where I was ashamed of the team/players. I had the feeling, as the season wore on, opposing teams were dreading playing this pitt team-as it showed grit, poise and determination to play four quarters of football. everyone in the room would have gladly taken an 8-4 record at the beginning of the season. pitt had heroes playing football-and freshman who had glints in their eyes. the o-line was thing of beauty-and stayed together as a unit for the entire season. all of us shuddered to think, preseason, what was available at WR -ford, being only the answer. hello, jester !

a big shout out to our OC Canada. that was north Carolina state's loss-our gain.

we beat our biggest rival-and when they go to sleep at night, clutching on to their teddy bears(and white hoods-that interception in the endzone, and the fact they never lead in that game will haunt them.

you can say-and i'm certainly not alone-that we saw fine QB play this year. many fans viewed him as a horseholder-and very average. he played within the system-and made fine showing.

thank you coaching staff for holding a young team together, and focused. realistically, we all can see the basic ingredients are there. just stir it up, put it in the oven, and wait for the cake.
