Obviously why you're a freshman. I have a great idea. Have a little respect for those that left everything on the field. Your post is pathetic. All those kids gave everything they had, you, you gave nothing.
I like their QB. They aren't bad
As a Pitt fan, this is exactly what we have been waiting for. It's an enormous win! Just stop and think about it for a moment.

If we had stomped all over them for four quarters, that would be one thing. We let a bottom-feeder almost beat us.
Dude, I have been going to Pitt games since 1974. I know good teams when I see them. The volume of Internet posts means nothing.
The game had the feel of a rivalry game. The kids from both teams know each other very well. I think PSU played above their skill level in this one, and Pitt still has deficiencies in the LB group and WR, which we already knew going into the game. PSU exploited those weaknesses.
They're not a lousy team, they're a poorly coached team.... Did you honestly think before the game that Pitt would dominate and win easily?? if you did, I really question how much you actually know about this Pitt team, and College football in general
You are right. If we had a David Priestley or a Bill Stull we win this game by 3 touchdowns. Playcalling became predictable and way too conservative the whole second half, basically because Peterman can't throw the ball downfield. Sure we don't have the best wideouts this year but I still say with a better quarterback we win easy.
PSU had a much better QB than us, he kept them in the game
We just beat a team that has a 4* or 5* recruit at basically every position (especially on D), a super-duper-star RB, the type of running/option QB who used to always kill us, and they were never winning. Sure, they're not great, but it definitely means we're doing something right to beat a team with that much of a recruiting gap over us, especially while leading the entire way.
Well that bad team has a future top NFL pick in Barkley and a qb who is a gutsy gunslinger.

Rivalry Game, A lot of teams struggled today...Not easy to win anymore in CFB, too much parity.

Some here need to take a step back into reality. You faced a very good secondary. The D was minus 2 starters at the beginning and lost 2 more during the game. Peterman followed Narduzzi's game plan and yet he's criticized. Good God give your own team some credit.
So what? Ok state lost to a high school team and the coastal is filled with bad teams. Mediocrity gets you 9 wins with our schedule.
Had Hackenburg returned I don't think he leads the same type of comeback in that situation.

As far as PSU goes, they are 7/8 win team given the easy schedule. Not bad. Not good. You always take the W regardless of how good/bad the opponent is in a given year, especially those OOC P5 wins.

1) Where are our WR's? If we had that threat, we beat PSU by 21.
2) Did I miss something, because Barkley wasn't that impressive. He had a couple of flashes, but nothing really special. Like I said before, Pitt has 2 RB's on the current roster better than Barkley. And where are the PSU posters now who said that Barkley would outgain Conner?

uh no kid Ped has 4 stars all over that roster we are loaded with 2's and 3's any decent coach would have Ped S in the top 25 and they will be close by mid year unless Franklion melts down. As for Pitt no we are not a top 25 team but after today we are gettign a lot closer

I'll start with good game and you guys deserved the W. I'll have to question your talent evaluation if you think Barkley isn't that good. You sound too much of a homer bashing Barkley. How much would you like to wager that Barkley gets drafted higher than both running backs you think are better?
If Hack were the QB today, I think Pitt would have won by at least 3 TDs. Pitt is has the type of defense that would keep him in big trouble down & distance all day long, thus also taking Barkley out of the game.
Lets be honest... their QB wasnt exactly good. Peterman IS the better of the 2 QB.'s. You cant POSSIBLY be saying if Peterman had those receivers playing for Pitt this game wouldnt have been 70-0
PSU isn't lousy and Franklin isn't incompetent. That was a hard fought win today and both teams left it all out on the field. Sure, both teams have some major deficiencies, and both teams made a lot stupid mistakes. But I thought both teams played their ass off and grew up a lot today.
I'm going to enjoy this great win and the excitement of this season right now, but I would warn people against getting too cocky. Your reference to recruiting may start to show up on the field next year. They are probably going to be heavy favorites going into next year's game.
Keep hanging your hat on 9 wins and Joe pa...you got beat. Go back to your hole in state college where you belong.
Penn state has its problems, but they never stink. They are rarely great but never bad. Even in the heart of the sanctions they won games. It's not like they're syracuse out there. Pitt is simply a better team than them this year, but rest assured PSU will be in a bowl again this year.
1.They need to be out hammering the JC curcuit looking for a WR next year. Need to let whitehead take more snaps this season.
2. Barkley is very good Pitt sold out to stop him which is one reason Mcsorley had a good game. Although I think McSorley is going to be a good college QB.
It was a great win and one myself and I'm sure Narduzzi and the team won't ever apologize for, EVER.

I think you misinterpreted what I am saying. Today, against this Pitt team, Barkley just wasn't impressive and certainly didn't outgain Conner. That's what one of your posters said earlier in the week....that it's a given Barkley will outgain Conner. Barkley's just better. I think Pitt's defense was up to stopping him and PSU's defense had a problem with our running attack, not just Conner. I never said Barkley isn't good. I said he wasn't very impressive today and Conner was better.
And I'll stand by my statement that Pitt has 2 RB's on our current roster that are better than Barkley as COLLEGE RB's. I couldn't care less where a player is drafted. Pro sports doesn't exist to me. But I will say I think Barkley will get drafted and will be an NFL RB someday. He is good. Just not good enough today against this Pitt run defense.
Our pass defense is another story.
It would have been a crime for Pitt to lose this game after having been ahead the entire game and dominating the way we did.
Barkley is a stud. Stop with the nonsense. Did he have his best game today? Of course not. But this kid's a player. Big time as a matter of fact.
