In order to keep these ridiculous and stupid discussions to one thread, here's the place for all those who want to bitch about attendance despite not going to the game.
- if you want to complain about the student section being empty, despite the students being home for Thanksgiving, do it here.
- if you want to complain about the 5000 to 10000 fans who will watch the game from the club lounges instead of their seats because of the rain, do it here.
- if you want to bitch and moan that people would be there filling up a cold and rainy stadium - if only it were located on campus - despite 75 years of Pitt Stadium history proving you wrong, do it here.
Today's attendance is going to suck.
About 40k will be announced, and about 25k-30k will be in their seats.
It will be the same attendance it would've been if Heinz Field was located on the Cathedral lawn.
It will be the same attendance it would've been if Dan Marino was throwing to Larry Fitzgerald and handing off Tony Dorsett while Jackie Sherrill roamed the sidelines.
Today's attendance will also have little bearing on Pitt's ranking, bowl destination, or 2017 recruiting class.
I'll be there in section 108 as always. If your ass isn't in one of those ugly yellow seats today, you have no standing to whine about attendance.
So comment on the game, maybe Conner's last in Heinz. Or comment on Pitt's bowl prospects or ranking.
