Going to some High Schools to see some Recruits no doubt as Coach Pat did last week at games, and is now off to Duke for the Away Game?
Frankie should be working on his Game Day Coaching because he is going to need it against Harbaugh, that will run up the score on him next week, and many Recruits Watch, and see that 2 Weeks not enough to beat Michigan Harbaugh!
There is a difference between a Game Day Coach and Recruiting Coach and that is something Franklin needs to prove now more than Recruiting?
All his work this weekend can be forgotten next week if this happens and I have a Hunch it will happen!

I'd hope they would. What do you think Franklin is telling Sanders? Pitt is telling him he's the starter (I'd imagine). Do you think Franklin is telling him its an open competition and he can beat out Barkley and that he thinks he WILL beat out Barkley?

Not that James from State College shouldn't be doing this, but putting myself in Sander's shoes... how does this help? If I'm committed to a school already but just want to look around still, as any HS kid is free to do at his point in time, someone telling me things he's probably already told me months ago would just get annoying. Maybe Sanders really likes Franklin so it doesn't bother him. But really what else does he have to sell the kid? Whatever he told him before obviously worked. Now he knows that Barkley is there and playing well.
Whether it's Pitt or Penn State, I think tonight sways Sanders' final decision one way or the other. Either Franklin assures him Penn State was the right choice in the first place, or he really didn't want to go there anymore already and tries to separate himself even more from there.

I see it another way, without disagreeing with your view either, just looking at it differently. I really think the last 2 games of Penn State versus the last 3 Games of Pitt could decide the better fate and choices among Sanders and other Top Recruits, especially the Smart Recruits!
If Penn State gets blown away by Michigan and MSU this will be very seen negatively on Franklin & Staff and Penn State! Proving Franklin & Staff have a coaching problem!
If Pitt wins their last 2 or all 3 Games it shows one Coach Pat & Staff coached up the Pitt Players after 9 Games and during the season. Talent is needed at Pitt and has the coaching to get it done!
Also, what is going on at MSU they had 3 De-Commits lately?

I think you're pretty accurate with regards to Pitt. If we win all 3 or even maybe 2, Narduzzi looks like a solid coach and the path to playing looks pretty good for Sanders here. I don't know if Penn State losing really matters much though. Michigan and MSU are expected to win those games, probably by about 10 points each, not a blowout, but not expected to be challenged that much. So Penn State losing will not diminish them to a recruit as much as playing time and other factors will.
As for MSU, I think Narduzzi really was the mastermind behind a great defense there for years. They may have their best year in recent times this season and Dantoni is a great coach still, but I think the attitude there is a little bit different then when Coach Narduzzi was there. I think you'll see a few kids at least that were high on MSU early in their HS careers start looking at Pitt.
Penn State has two weeks to prepare for Harbaugh, and I predict it won't make a difference, you are spot on no matter what, Michigan is going to Beaver Stadium and Harbaugh never cared for Talkers!
PSU will be favored in that game and will probably beat Mich. Mich isnt that good, despite their record.
As for Sanders, I'd suspect he's waiting for Conner's official announcement and waiting to see how Barkley plays the rest if the season before announcing. If Barkley runs fir 200 yards and 4 TDs against Mich, that can be very good for us.

I like your post and we shall see soon next week and you follow up with your own prediction. I have been waiting for Franklin to beat a Ranked Team and turn around the Penn State Program, but it hasn't happen. Yet, Harbuagh turned around Michigan in one games and all this year and agree they may not be that good, but Harbaugh is as a Coach. I predicted a 10 Win Season with TheBaby2 that provides good insight like you and I am on that path and may have may it had it not been for the MSU lost in the last seconds. Now I am dependent on Michigan beating PSU and the Bowl Game?
I agree Penn state has the talent to beat Michigan but I am no longer confident in Franklin Coaching until he shows it, and maybe you will be correct at Beaver. We shall see?
On your other point on Sanders, I think he is Penn State's to lose by losing to Michigan and MSU big, and tough for Pitt to win unless they win these last 3 games? We shall see that too? No problem if I am wrong on either posts!

All I know is Franklin has Two Weeks to prepare for Michigan and if he can't beat Michigan this year with 2 Weeks to prepare, I never say never, but Harbaugh is going to be tough to beat not just year, but fort many Teams to come in future years.

I was part of the Golden Panthers and got too talk to Harbaugh's Father, he was a great coach, better father, and knows about Football, and so do all the Harbaughs!
They may lose at times, but most of the time, they are ready for all Games and so are their Players and even in loses they give a good game. Franklin & Staff has his work out for him, in my opinion, We Shall See?
Right now, just want Pitt to put 4 Quarters together in less than hour, and time to light the Pitt Lateran to get this Team moving towards 10 wins, last chance today and next 3 games with the Bowl?

I don't think overall Michigan is that great, but their defense has been outstanding. I don't see how PSU would be favored against them. I'll be surprised if Penn State scores 10 points that game. More than that really would be a not very good performance by the standards Michigan has set this season defensively.
Of course he is. He flips to Pitt, not also does PSU lose him, but they also have to face him over the next 4 years.
Hmmmmnnn, Kudos to you SMF, Michigan barely got by Indiana and did the same last week against Minnesota! Harbugh is still winning but has taken a dip late in the season and not exactly against Ranked Teams.
I may have to change my Predictions for the Michigan-Penn State Game this week. Thank you for your input and we shall see if Penn State can beat a Good Ranked Team this week?

Capt Sid....Always enjoy your posts. Your thoughts are always well reasoned. I have to disagree with you a bit about Sanders. I'm not so sure the next few games for Pitt and PSU will do much to sway his decision. Far bigger factors will be his relationships with the coaching staff, the offensive styles of the two teams, his views on playing time, his comfort level with two very different campuses, his family's thoughts on the educational opportunities at each school, etc. It's a major decision that I don't believe will be made on the results of a few games in which Mr. Sanders will not participate. I have no clue where he will end up. I hope he makes the right decision for himself.
Back at you on your postings too, I always enjoy reading other Posters views with better knowledge especially on recruiting because I really do not follow it like many others such as yourself.My posts on Recruits are based on pure opinions and nothing much behind them and I admit I am not an expert like other here that know more.
Sanders looks to be PSU to lose but I do know he will play at Pitt far faster and easier just like Whitehead as shown than he would at Penn State, but you are more right, it will go down as Sanders wishes and his relationships with the coaches he likes not my opinion!
Pitt will be fine because anyone Coach Pat & Staff recruits will develop into a Good Player as seen what he can do with Talent that wants to be at Pitt! Look what he did with Whitehead in just few months?
