While Bibbs and LeDay are guys who can fill up the basket, in my opinion the heart and soul of VT is Seth Allen. He fits Buzz's warrior mentality and is the leader of the Hokies. Pitt needs to shut off Allen's penetration to limit VT's easy baskets. The nice thing about VT is that senior night will not be that important as they have all under classmen. On Saturday Georgia Tech will be different. However there is an incentive for VT to have a winning record in the ACC. They stand at 8-8 and won't go as easily as in Pittsburgh. Will be hard for Pitt to match the intensity of Sunday, but too much is on the line to act otherwise.

We should win this game ..I am just very skeptical because I have seen this team play down to their competition many times in important games they should win .. I was very impressed with the win over duke .. I just hope they keep the momentum rolling tonight in Blacksburg .. Seth Allen scares me as he could be the typical guy who hits five 3's and scores 25 or so against us

Allen is no good, at least I've been told by expert posters, because he shoots a low percentage and turns it over like another terrible PG, Angel Rodriguez. Stats, stat, stats!

Actually Allen isn't any good because he's not a very good basketball player. The fact that he is a poor shooter and that he turns the ball over like crazy are signs that he is a poor basketball player, but if you watch him play more than once or twice and you understand what you are watching it isn't hard to see. Of course we all understand why it is a problem for you.

Jame Robinson is easily superior to Allen, and the fact that you don't think so doesn't mean that he isn't. It's just more proof that you don't understand the game all that well.

Every time we say that a guy has his career day...stay tuned.

The issue with Allen is that he is just so inconsistent. If you watch him when he puts up 28 against us or 26 against Louisville he looks great. If you watch him when he puts up 6 against Virginia or 5 against Miami as he's done in the last couple of weeks then not so much. He has five conference games this year with 20 or more points and four conference games this year with 6 points or fewer. If you only see him on one of those good nights then much like SMF you probably think he's a really good player. If you only see him when he scores 3 points on 1-9 from the field with 2 assists and 5 turnovers against Duke then you think he's about the worst player out there. The truth, as always, is somewhere in the middle.

So James Robinson has not played any bad games this year? Allen is more of a scorer and Robinson more of a distributor. They are both the key to their offense.

When did I ever say he hasn't?

I agree that both are keys to their respective offenses. One guy is the key to an offense that is 26th in the country in efficiency. The other is the key to an offense that is 109th in efficiency. Guess which one is which.

Can we at least wait until the game is over before you jump off the bandwagon and whine and complain. And not an excuse but fyi it is hard to beat a team when they make more free throws then you attempt.

Robinson: 11 points, 2-10, 1-6, 3 rebs, 3 assists, 2 TOs

Allen: 10 points, 4-12, 2-7, 4 rebs, 2 assists, 1 TO.

If Robinson was better than Allen last night, we win.
