Is this team repeatedly comes out flat with very little energy. It’s like they are playing a meaningless exhibition game or a pickup street basketball game. Heck I’ve seen more passion and competitiveness in pick up games back in my South Park hoops playing days

Every game is like watching the one before That’s a coaching issue and not a talent issue.

So while there may be some talent issues on this team I would submit with the right coaching this team is at the very least a bubble team talent wise. They shouldn’t be as dreadful as they have been the past month or two

I know I've said it before, but it seems like almost every player on every team we play has more girth than the corresponding Pitt player they're matched up against. This team is so soft/weak. And it's not as if we're playing fast to compensate for that. But, all in all, the problems are numerous.

Capel should completely change his stripes and we should try to be a pressing team or something next year. I doubt we'll have much talent, so might as well try a novelty approach.

I’ve said it before but the S&C program they have is garbage. JD had guys come in and over time they’d transition their bodies and become men. There’s not a guy on this team that looks like they lift more than a 12 oz can of beer

Nobody is a pressing team anymore. But I agree he has to try something drastically different, especially if he won't have NIL. Like maybe playing 2-3 bigs at a time to rebound like crazy. Or try to identify the best defenders he can, even if they can't score, like Jeffress or Harris from WVU and try to win games 52-50.

I think defense and rebounding are undervalued in NIL so if you can identify guys who are legitimately good there, you may not get offense but you can get defense and rebounding for a good price.

Totally disagree. There are many teams that effectively press. We don't have athletes who are capable of pressing, that's why we don't.

If you have great defense and rebounding, you will generate great offense. So one begets the other. This has been proven over and over. I agree that defense and rebounding are undervalued in this day of NIL. That's where they are dead wrong.
