They are all saying about how Clemson would be a middle of the road program in the Big Ten and talking about how tough the big ten is which is just hilarious given that most years their teams go out and get smacked in bowl games.

I mean the ACC is 18-27 in bowl games vs P5 teams since 2015, including 5-8 vs B1G (3-7 if you remove Clemson) and 9-15 vs non-SEC P5. Nine ACC teams have won a bowl game vs a P5 opponent since 2015. Clemson accounts for 28% of ACC bowl victories during that span.

The B1G is 23-24 since 2015 and 10 of their teams have won a bowl vs. a P5 since 2015. Ohio State only accounts for 13% of B1G victories over that period.

There is a reason that every expert and every algorithm usually ranks the B1G as the 2nd best conference and the ACC as the 4th or 5th best.

Our programs aren’t playing each other any more so there’s no point in comparing them. Like any normal Pitt fan I will cheer for Pitt to succeed and for PSU to fail, but there’s really no need to overthink it beyond that.

The PSU fans that act like they are far superior to other programs...and especially to Pitt, are mostly the older cohort of "Joe Paterno is god" folks. They really swallowed the whole marketing campaign of "Success with Honor" and "The Grand Experiment".

I just laugh at them and their unbridled arrogance coupled with their delusional ignorance. The Big Ten West is a joke. The Big Ten East is OSU, a few little brothers in UM, MSU and PSU that tend to be average to pretty good and the rest are bottom feeders.

It was especially funny to read some of them saying Clemson would be middle of the pack in the Big......

I read on ESPN a couple weeks back that the ACC Coastal was the third best division in Power 5 football according to their FPI ratings. Shows you how subjective and stupid the rankings are because none of the teams in the Coastal are ranked. Obviously if you have a fairly competitive division where anyone can beat anyone in today's mega program biased world of college football that you would NOT have rankings like you do in conferences in B10. Because in that world its the same 4-5 teams feasting on 9-10 awful teams each year.

I really hope the CFP is expanded and the committee uses more of these objective metrics when evaluating teams like basketball does.

This. Even in the acc. We have the 3rd most living alumni but are next to last in donations.

Pitt admin have been investing much more heavily in all our programs but giving hasn't kept up.

And with the recent coaching contracts. It's going to get even more expensive to compete.

I must say this Script Society thing seems to be a real attempt to increase major donations. Additionally let’s hope this years performance reverses to trend of Heinz Field season ticket numbers going into next season

They are no doubt the worst. But since Addison was named a finalist for the Biletnikoff, I do have an appreciation for the insufferable arrogance of the Ohio State fan base. None of the vaunted OSU WRs was a finalist and their fans are all over Twitter crying about it. Look at the replies to any Biletnikoff or Addison tweet and guaranteed there is some crap about about “Earth, Wind and Fire” or someone taking shots at a kid you just know half of them have never ever seen play.

Pitt has a pass funnel to Addison and OSU spreads their targets out. Just is what it is.

But Pitt would have lost a few more games - certainly the UVA game - without Addison. OSU would still be undefeated if they lost ANY of their 3 WR. That's why Addison deserves to be a finalist and the OSU guys don't. They're cogs in the wheel. Addison is the whole wheel.

The fact is, outside of OSU that BIG isn't that good and hasn't been for decades. The BIG west is as bad if not worse than the coastal.

PSU fans are awful because they think they are Alabama but haven't won anything in the last 30 years. They love to mock Pitt fans because we are mediocre...but it isn't like we don't all know that for the most part.

Oh, and nevermind the fact they have a 22 page thread defending Jerry Sandusky on their first page.
