Edwardsville, Ill., defensive end Desmond Chapple finally made his way to Pittsburgh this past weekend for Pitt's game against Notre Dame.
The 6-foot-5, 235 pound pass rusher landed an offer from the coaching staff back in May, following an impressive workout at his school during the spring evaluation period. That said, Chapple was yet to actually see the school himself until this past weekend.
He made it clear that the nine-hour drive was well worth it.
"We got to Pitt around 8:30 on Saturday morning," Chapple said. "It was a really good visit, I liked everything I saw. I met with the coaches, I got to see a game and I toured their training facility. I feel like I learned a lot. We enjoyed it. It was amazing."
