we add 2 bigs and a guard (at least, maybe another)

Need to see quick movement on this in next 2 weeks.

Wouldn't mind that thinking or happening either. Would hope that one of the recruits added is a Grad Transfer and the scholarship comes back for 2020.

Agree too, that the next few weeks, until summer classes start at Pitt, verbals/news will happen.

I can’t add much detail to your wishlist other than the thought that we are getting close to at least one big who would be at least a satisfactory addition. I expect we will know the status on this individual within your timeframe. Anything else I could add would be pure guesswork on my part.

I think we have a shot at K.Thomas, Howard and Bilau? I think we can have Nigel or J.Jones if we want them. Coleman, Ojiako, J.Brown and J.Waker III all seem unlikely. Cumberland, Quinerly or a surprise (there seems to be an adundance of grad transfer point guards). I don't know. Could still get a reclass. Pickings don't seem as sparse as feared.

I think we may end up with a big that fits our needs more than someone who is 7-0 and weighs 200 lbs or someone taking 11 shots, 4 of which are threes.

I disagree about the timeline....

I now think we have plenty of time and some others trees are going to fall.

But it would be nice to get a big guy in the fold

We've all been suffering from a bit of angst regarding the "bigs" recruitment. I have absolutely no inside information nor do I even have a guess about the latest batch of possibilities. However, I just have a feeling that Capel is going to bring in at least one "big" and it's going to turn out well - better than any of us expect.

If there is even a hint of a timeline--it probably would be in time for any recruit(s) to make the team trip to Italy (in July?). I would expect Capel would at least prefer to have his roster complete by then so all could practice and play together on the trip. Just speculation, however.

Believe they would have to be enrolled to make the trip. They would need enrolled when the next term starts.

Agree with you to a point. We do see trees following. A strategy of waiting to the last minute to assess the best of the crop is dangerous.

I suggest making decisions as wether those currently available can help. If those players are ready to decide and want to come, take them. Save one scholarship (Georges) if a last minute diamond wants to come as well.

George's scholarship situation can be handled. He can be off the team and still (free of charge) graduate from Pitt.
